@Rankkorr,
They're very strong at end-game right now too. In the previous tier basically any ranged had a big advantage but Marauder self-healing negates all the problems other melee might have with taking more damage due to being close up while having some excellent output.
On my Sorc I feel like I'm not competing as DPS but am, at least, invaluable as a healer.
The problem with both Sorc and Marauder is that they both rely a TON on other classes debuffing their targets' armour. On the current encounters with multiple targets it means having to be careful about who attacks what so that those debuffs are covered.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

humm...... but marauders get a talent where they can gain 100% armor penetration for 6 seconds (gore). And its on a fairly short CD as well (15 seconds)
but yes, Marauders are not only highly effective as DPS, they are insanely fun to play. I mean, my other 2 toons (Assassin lvl 27 and Sniper lvl 32) are effective at killing things but they are nowhere near as fun to play.

I was loving my Marauder, right up until I stepped into PvP and got my ass handed to me over and over and over. It may just be that level ~30ish Marauder's suck, because I've definitely run into some great one's at 50 on my Mercenary.
I'll need to give him another try at some point.
As far as just outright brutal killing potential, I have yet to see anything rival a sniper. Their burst damage is ludicrous.

@Rankkorr, I don't play a Marauder so my experience is via the excellent Marauder in my raid group. He plays Annihilation.
@Skithus, I gather they're very strong in end-game PvP, no idea about mid-game. Our two Snipers struggle to keep up with the Marauder's (and out Juggernaut's to be fair) DPS.

who knows, I dont like pvp, neither on SWTOR nor in wow, or any other MMORPG for that matter. When I feel like kicking the ass of another player I do it where it matters, RTS :P
and as for the sniper's killing potential, they have a strong (absurdly so) burst, but they need to carefully manage their energy to avoid running out. I know on my sniper on really drawn out fights I have to auto-attack a few times to allow the energy to regen past a certain point. With the marauder, the carnage never stops, I interweave a couple of auto-attacks in between skills, but for the most part I'm hacking&slashing with impunity.
Plus one thing I hated about my sniper is their lack of mobility. All about them requires being in cover, its not even like other ranged fighters who only have to stop to shoot stuff, snipers have to stop, get into cover, and THEN they can attack. Any CC or knockback kicks you out of cover, forcing you to waste precious time getting back into cover.
Its the reason I hate playing casters on MMOs, I like mobility, being able to fight as I run and strafe. And marauders truly shine on that part, either as Anihilation with those darn bleeds that put arms warriors to shame, or as Carnage with the flurry of blows granted by Ataru Stance, or as Rage with that crazy AoE.
Plot-wise they also get a ton of goodies, such as having their healing companion so early (after balmorra) one of the most interesting companions (jaessa who can either be recruited as a lightsided jedi, or a darksided sith) and up to 4 romance options (2 for guys, 2 for gals)
That's not even going to the part where you can actually choke a hutt with the force at one point :P
Yeah, finishing my agent just got A LOT harder.

My wife's biological dad's (met him once) wife (not biologically related to my wife, met her twice) called the house this morning and talked to me for 3 hours about her upcoming Christmas plans (it's May). I said "yeah" probably 1000 times or more. Painful...

Any particular reason? Did she want to talk to you specifically, or did she happen to think of a gazillion things you needed to know when you picked up the phone?

I have no idea what was going through her mind. I just know it was an uncomfortable conversation.

is the only thing you need to wear in the zombie appolypse
Its a motorcycle protection suit made of Kevlar. Zombies cannot bite through kevlar. So in the event of the zombie Apocalypse, get yourself to the nearest cycle shop, grab a suit, put on a helmet
Enjoy being zombie proof.

Until of course, the swarm knocks you down, sits on you, pulls your body apart and eats you of course lol.

not to mention that if overwhelmed, there's nothing preventing them from prying the pieces of the suit off you.

As Elhonna said, they just need to hold you down. They could hold you there, and crush you if there were enough of them, or you'd just starve to death unable to move under a pile of moving rotting corpses.
