This hunter set looks sweet.
I was going to make a post in the news thread, but this messenger has enough wounds
.
That's interesting. Not as interesting as MyTie's reponse to this will be :P.
I'd always heard that liberals were generally smarter than conservatives even if by the barest amount, but that the smartest people in the country after the people that listened to NPR or watched the Daily Show were the people who watched Fox News and that having a political inclination to either side meant you were 'smarter' than those who didn't. The fact that the conservative listeners scored lower on international questions than the average surprised me.

Meh. Many people who are "conservative" are so for dumb reasons. Ya know, meathead jingoists. Anyway, I don't really care about IQ comparisons of liberals and conservatives. It doesn't reflect the merit of either side. You could show that many college professor types are liberals, and so their ideals get taught to the educated crowd, and educated people have higher IQ, generally... anyway. It's not a subject that I have great interest in.
Was that response anti-climatic?

FWIW, opposite end of the political spectrum, I don't place much stock in IQ testing either. I think polling consumers of different media can be useful if the sampling is done correctly in order to demonstrate mendacity, but my favourite book ("
The Mismeasure of Man
" by Stephen J. Gould) illustrates how intelligence testing in general has been misapplied.

Meh. This game they are talking about? Not really. I say it is an Assassin's Creed rip off. He says it isn't. Whatever.
care to back that up?
Again, Dishonored is in first person view, AC isn't, Dishonored has you using magic, guns, and summons, AC doesn't. Dishonored is set in a fictional Steam-punk setting, while AC is based on Historic Events (with a few artistic liberties).
The one element they seem to have in common is the Parkour/Free-running through the rooftops.
If anything, I'd say Dishonored is Dark Messiah+Bioshock.

I should point out that that paper had nothing to do with IQ, it was just questions about current events compared to political belief and what news channels they watch. The one I found really interesting was that watching MSNBC or Fox News was worse than not watching the news for international questions.
I'm not in a great position to comment on most of their content really, I watch The Daily Show reguarly and my only exposure to the others is mostly people linking them to mock a segment.
One criticism I have about it is I think they should have split "I don't watch any News channels/shows" into "<that> and I
don't
read the news on the internet either" and "<that> but I
do
read the news on the internet", because I'd wager the latter is significantly higher than the former, and probably most of the others too.Uniformed people watching a news station does not mean that that news station feeds misinformation or no information.
I say it is an Assassin's Creed rip off.
care to back that up?Guy with a giant popped collar running around on rooftops, dropping down, and knifing targets to death. Looks like Assassin's Creed to me. But hey, that's just me. I don't care enough to continue talking about it.

I tried to draw in a different style.
Don't know if like.
It looks reasonably pleasant, although if I had to be a critic, there are a few minor features that may need some modifying.

Not bad; but the arms are a little too thin.
Also, for a good laugh, go look in Feedback; the thread is obvious.

They don't have to be massive, but a little rounder would probably work.
