chocolate...Hershey's.
Hershey's is chocolate? Could've fooled me.
Also, yes.
Ender's Game
is sort of required to read
Speaker of the Dead
, otherwise stuff isn't going to make much sense, at all.

Bioware had a rough spell. Back to back they had the lukewarm reception of Dragon Age 2 (Which i liked, but i agree was probably rushed and reused a lot of maps), the $%^&storm about the endings of ME3, and then the people not happy with SWTOR.
What's sad is that I love bioware, and I thought all three games were great, despite their flaws. I hope this doesn't kill them, because I'd rather get games like these, where I love the story and dialogue, and deal with the bugs, than lose titles like this and settle for more "meh" games.

The people that I respected the most and that were related to BioWare in the past now work for Obsidian and inXile.

It's pretty sad that most people will only remember ME3 for its ending, and not for being one of the (in my opinion) best RPGs in recent years. Hope things turn out well for the people that were laid off - sucks to have to go like that.

Bioware is (IMO) one of the finest RPG developers there is, Makers of the following games:
Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. (They've also made sequels for most of these games, except Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic. The sequels for both of those were made by Obsidian, and Jade Empire is the one game they've made that sadly, has no sequel yet)
Recently they laid off some people, but doesn't seem to be anything major.
Uh "doesn't seem to be anything major?" It's very major... they let go their entire community team today. That's dozens of people. They also let go tons of writers. I am pretty sure they let go many more staff as well. This is huge and a big sign SWTOR is unfortunately doing very poorly which makes me sad.
A lot of people I know were laid off or have close friends who were, too.
o_O holy crap! seriously? when I read the announcement it didn't seemed like it was a big group or anything, but the entire community team and writers? damn.
The future does looks grim for SWTOR. A damn shame too cuz I really love that game.

dammit >_>
I've had a good run with bioware for the past 15 years, thoroughly enjoying their games, and while Dragon Age 2 was a dissapointment, it was still an enjoyable game. Nowhere near what it could had been, but enjoyable nonetheless. And ME3, crappy ending aside, is THE best game I've played this year. And one of only 3 games that have EVER made me cry real tears (that's not something easy, neither for games, nor books, or movies).
I'm hoping that maybe Dragon Age 3 allows them to gain their steam back.
And that this doesn't mean the days of SWTOR are numbered. That game, despite its flaws, is quite revolutionary in the way it presents its story. Blizzard could learn a thing or two from the way the quests are presented here, and the way they handled immersion and storytelling.

Oh donny another idea for 10000th post: a "top ten" of the day every day. Like day 1, top ten movies, day 2, top 10 albums, day 3, top 10 paintings, etc.

Wow- someone just responded to a RAF request from 2009. Maybe the dates should be bigger on the posts?
