=( its been 2 days, and it has barely downloaded 5 Gb. still 20 GB left. This is gonna take a long time. I just hope the trial lasts long enough for me to at least get a glimpse.
BTW did u saw what I wrote a few posts back? :P I forgot to tell you but your voice sounds A LOT like my guild master in wow (Minus her chicago accent)

I've been unimpressed by most of what Sid Meyers touches. I've also been unimpressed with a lot of the Sim City stuff. It seems to take on a glossy slapstick appeal, instead of a free flowing strategy sculpting of a city. I don't care to drive "Big Paulie Bolonatii" across town in a limo to bury a body. I also don't like the environmental push of the latest games. I get that you should impact environment, but if I build a landfill, it shouldn't ruin the water tables of 2/3 of the map. If also don't like how the streets don't seem to line up properly, so you end up being a traffic coordinator instead of a city builder. Everyone in my city is dead because I have a coal plant ZOMG. Or, all my sims use the same street and are delayed to work by 4 hours and have to move to a different city. Never-mind that there is a perfectly good road one block over that sits empty 24/7. The game is more of fighting the idiotic mess of the game, than it is building a city. I feel like I'm playing a game of ping pong while extremely intoxicated on roller skates. I can't really focus on ping pong because the whole time I'm just trying to not fall down. That's Sim City.

Have you actually played the original versions of these games? I like the classics more, like Civ 3 and Sim City 2k. I think those are incredibly high quality games. They suffered a bit with Civ V and Sim City Societies, but I am hopeful about this iteration of Sim City because it's been such a long time coming.
The streets will be changed completely in this version so you should like that =x

I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to this. Sim City Societies was an incredible disappointment.

I agree with ashe on this one, the only Sim City I've played was 3000 and I loved it. Even if the spanish version had a very sloppy translation........ >.>

I enjoyed Civ 3. In fact, I still do...(now if only the discs weren't scratched...)
