You gotta remember that everything here is expensive too. A bottle of milk (1 liter) is over 2 dollars at times.

A pizza? 11-12 dollars. For one #$%^ing single pizza. Our current government, despite being socialistic, raises the cost on public stuff. It's redonkoulus.

Don't forget tax on that $30 per hour.

I'm training to be a caddy at the local golf course. Training is unpaid, but you might earn tips. This 16 year old kid that was the other trainee got 85 bucks. I got nothing, again. I worked my ass off, much harder than him. Kept a positive attitude, and tried to make sure everyone had a great time. My golfer told me that I did a great job, and that I'd be a caddie "real soon". I figured the cost for daycare and gas is about 35 bucks a day. I don't have a different job. Things are getting tight and I might start missing meals. I'm tired of paying to do work for people. I wish they would at least give me a timeline for how many more times I need to go out, or how much longer this is going to take. They aren't even teaching me anything. It's just "paying my dues". I'm just carrying the managers golf bags for them so they can enjoy golf without carrying their own bag. Another day, more debt. Losing hope. Getting hungry

Wait wait wait wait... Are you talking USD or DKK? Because I already pay 12 dollars USD for a pizza here.
edit: @MyTie It sounds like they're taking you for a spin. I'd try looking elsewhere because you can't spend a whole month jumping through hoops hoping for an 85 dollars in tips.
But if it's possible and you're willing to, I'd try becoming a waiter at five star restaurants. They make a killing with tips there. A friend would make 200 in tips a night. But you do have to kiss ass, though.
Come to think of it... I'm gonna go look for five star restaurants... I'm tired of putting up with !@#$ that comes from a stupid single mother on welfare.
Edit: ...who can't keep her legs closed!

What does training involve?
I get the feeling that the younger peeps are considered to be in more financially dire positions than the older people, hence tips. Ironic, isn't it?

BECAUSE of being socialistic, raises the cost on public stuff. It's redonkoulus.
Fixed that for ya.
My country wasn't this bad, then the socialist goverment kicked in. And thus the crap hit the fan.
Everything has gone downhill from there. A pizza can cost up to 60.000 bolivares. Pretty much the only things here that are dirt cheap are products that come from Oil (and that's mostly because venezuela has the third largest oil reserve in the world. I can fill the tank of my car with gas with barely half a dollar.)
But just about everything you can imagine that isn't produced here (and even some stuff that ARE produced here) cost absurd prices. I mean where is the logic of a PS3 costing 5 million bolivares? that's insane. These people must think money grows on trees or something.

The difference though is Denmark is socialistic - not communist.

@Lan Perhaps pizza costs about the same then. But trust me, everything here is goddamn expensive.

5 million bolivares ~ 1k USD. That's not entirely unreasonable once you factor in the costs and risks of transport and resale. Likewise, a pizza is 60k bolivares, is about 12 USD.
It's overseas prices, meaning that the oil barons can afford it, but the average person like yourself can't.

meh, semantics, no matter how much they wanna say otherwise, I'll never accept they are different.
Socialism is just the prologue of communism. One will inevitably lead to the other.
Chavez's political party was called "PSUV" (Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela, or Venezuela's Socialist United Party) yet now its called PCV (Partido Comunista de Venezuela, or Venezuela's Communist party)
Not to mention that all the "socialist" colleges do nothing but teach how great Marx and Lenin were. How much capitalism sucks, and how much socialist and communist goverments are so awesome.
Yet despite of that, I remember how back in the good old capitalist days I was able to buy a color TV with half my monthly salary. Today, make that a 4 month's salary.
