I know how you feel, but it does get better. I've been there too, at one point I had to be pulled out of public education because of it, but it does get better.
Yeah, I hope it gets better now, it should. Or those people should get fired for doing a crappy job..
Are you better now though, or are you still just thinking "it gets better"?
It does get better. The most important thing is too hold on. Time is the greatest healer. Just, don't lock the emotion door, you have to have some way to let your feelings out.
Good luck.

(Why do I feel the need to explain? .. God)
It's because you want to. The fact that you can't really see the people you talk too makes you feel more safe and want to open up more, which is a good thing, but a shrink is the best way to go, mostly because he can help you more.
Yes, I hate psychology too.

Talking to people is good, don't bottle it up inside you

people like you don't help, because convincing her that her issues are unimportant will only make her feel worse, not better
That's how I got over the issues I had when I was in high school, I realized that the whole thing was bull*!@# and stopped caring period... although it had the side effect of making me extremely lazy (and I still am to this day).

Shrinks are kind of dumb though, I could talk to a wall and it would help better. You should stop listening to Dr. Cox. Believe me, nothing good can come out of it.

I remember one night when I had first moved into my college campus I was trying to fall asleep and I thought I heard cards shuffling, I stepped out and realized there was no one in the kitchen, then I start freaking out because I thought I had been left alone while my friends went out to have fun drinking and partying or whatever, I ended up wandering the campus until 8 am crying and wandering anxiously when in the morning my roommate called me and asked me where I was. I found out he had just been sleeping, so I went back to bed and took that day off.
lol...
Stop worrying about things period. It doesn't really do anything good for you.

He said that? It's true :( It's just the talking part that is needed, not some fancy smancy dude that nods everyone and then
Edit: Ivokk, finally someone who gets it. It's that part that you can't control that makes it so bad.
As much as TheMediator sucks at giving advice, he is kind of right. And Ivokk is too. You have to let your emotions out, it's okay to not control, you just have to make sure you can control
how
they come out. If you don't let them out you become an emotionless shell that slowly drives away everyone he likes.
Buuut...you have to learn how to not get so affected by what happens around you. If you let every little thing get to you, well, it never ends well.
And yes, Dr. Cox said that...just he compared shrinks to a bubble head, not to a wall.

I quite enjoy worrying. It makes me prepare for the worst.
It also makes you more likely to die early. You know that stress physically puts pressure on your body? If you're stressed all your life you will die much sooner than you should. I think it has something to do with some hormone overworking your internal organs, but I don't remember the specifics.

TheMediator, their condition can't be helped. You can't simply stop worrying about it.
To me it sounds as if they're experiencing some form of schitzophrenia.
I have no knowledge in this area so I can't help at all
