What what?
The original was just so much wrong, I don't think that even South Park was as bad as the original.
I couldn't believe it the first time I did
this quest.

Thanks for the kind welcome, everyone. :)
I've seen "Human Centipede"! It is worth watching, if only for how horrible it is. I mean, really. The first scene is two American girls visiting Germany scantily dressed on their way to a party and driving through a dark forest in the middle of the night in a car that runs out of gas (uh ohs!). They are promptly sexually harrassed by a stranger driving by them, so instead of staying in their car until morning, they decide it's a good idea to leave it behing and wander aimlessly in the dark German forest where they come upon a house where the door is answered by an obviously creepy guy, go inside, and then proceed to drink something he gives them. Whuuuu...
Given all the "What are you thinking?" moments in just that short paragraph, it is meant to be awful in a "Scary Movie" kind of way, I think.
You guys know there was a "Human Centipede 2"... right? ;)

Well, they did said they were gonna add an option for people who haven't played ME1 or ME2 to be able to play 3 without being left behind.
The solution is that there will be an "Interactive comic" at the beginning of ME3 to get you up to speed with what happened, and also to allow you to make some (but not all) of the biggest decisions to import.
Sorta what they did in ME2 for the PS3, they released
this
DLC, an interactive comic that summarized the entire plot of ME1 (Which will never be released on the PS3 due to issues with microsoft) and allows PS3 users playing ME2 to have the big desicions from ME1 made.
A similar interactive comic will be on ME3, summarizing the plot of the first 2 games, and allowing you to make some of the moral and social choices you could in the first 2 games.
Bottom line: even if you haven't played the prequels, the game sort of re-writes itself for YOUR benefit, so you won't miss a thing. :P
I still recommend playing all 3 in a row, best cinematic experience one can have in a video-game.
Mass Effect makes videogaming almost an art.

A few of my friends were close to throwing up watching those two
^^
I'll agree, it is worth watching because it sucks. As sad as that sounds

It's fun sometimes to watch things just because they suck. It's an interesting kind of pain, LOL.

true :P
Despite the abysmal reviews it got (And I tottaly knew it would suck based just on the trailers) I saw Dragon Ball Evolution, just to mock it mercilessly at the cinema.

Salò
I've had a long tradition of forcing my friends to endure crappy horror films during the stayovers at an (unsigned) actor friends house. Our first was "One missed call", then I swore "The Audition" would be terrifying but they got bored 10 minutes in, then I said that the opening of "The Antichrist" was so horrible I couldn't watch the full thing (to be fair, it was, it made me reflect on life and death and all those sentimental things): but I didn't know that the next half an hour to an hour would be incredibly dreary (apart from the fox, that was my favourite scene) . Then there were a few horrible gorn moments. Anyway, I'm now committed to watching either "Salo" or "Cannibal Holocaust" with them, because based on the descriptions they cannot be slow paced. If not, I might just watch them with the guy that I watched "The Human Centipede" with.
Funny story, my friends were taking the piss out of a guy that gets flashbacks of horror films, calling him a "pussy" for not wanting to watch "Insidious" (which was clever in that the family avoided the "Paranormal Activity" trope of not gtfoing). Anyway, I said that instead of Insidious we should watch "Salo", which I described to them in detail and noted that the film-maker was murdered and my friend was like "that's horrible, there's no way we'd want to watch that". To which I had the perfect retort: "pussy!". Different strokes for different folks, eh?
I don't really see anything wrong with MyTie's sig. I may have even precipitated it (is that the term?) by my annoying and bizarre modes of argument. Despite (potentially?) being annoyed, the signature is still remarkably tolerant and entirely under the purview of reasonable discussion in my opinion. Things closer to MyTie's heart (as far as I can tell) come under attack far more often and it'd be a bit one-sided to limit him from criticising something he sees as offensive.
Edit: also asakawa could you fix the spoiler tags in this post plzthx?

as I said, there's 2 ways to go about it on ME3.
Way 1:
You play both of the prequels, and as such complete all the quests, make your decisions, import to ME2, play that one too, do all the quests, import all the decisions, and import that to ME3.
Way 2:
You lack one, or both of the sequels? then start playing ME3 normally, and this interactive comic will pop up, in it, you will be treated to a summary of both prequels, and along the way of this comic you will be able to make some (but not all) of the choices to import into ME3.
For example, if you use the comic, the only decisions from ME1 that can be imported is whether or not the council lives or dies, if wrex lived or died, who was your romance (if anyone as you can also choose to not romance anyone at all) who of your 2 squadmates (Ash and Kaidan) survives on Virmire, and whether or not the Rachni queen lives or dies.
All the other miriad of choices from ME1 are lost, unless you play that game and import.
Ditto for ME2, the only stuff that gets carried over if you go the comic-way, is:
What happens to the collector base, who (if anyone) was your romance, and which squadmates survived.
Obviously, this will mean the experience will be inferior if you go the comic way, but the game will still be playable.
And last but not least, there's still a month left (Actually 33 days with 8 hours and 33 minutes) till the release of ME3 :P that's more than enough time to get part 2 and start playing it up.

Oh I see. That's nice...
I wonder if you can import a "dead Shepard" file from ME2. Would be interesting to see an easter egg from it (no I haven't been keeping track of ME3 so I don't know what happens if you do, if it was announced).
