O_o weren't you gonna stop moderating these forums after TOR launched? ( I recall vaguely you saying that you didn't wanted to moderate a forum of a game you would stop playing altogether or something like that)
don't get me wrong, its great to still have u here, but I'm wondering why the sudden change of heart :P
That was kinda my plan. Ashelia was kind enough to leave me greened and say that I should just feel free to chip in and help with moderation if I'm around and there's plenty of stuff to do so I'd feel bad just dropping everything and never helping again. Though, I'm not following WoW news any more so I'm steering clear of anything that's too WoW-specific.
ohhh OK :P
good luck on TOR.
God-willing I'll join that community someday.
It wont be any time soon though =/ Just checked the prices on my country's black market........ 800.000 for ToR, and 400.000 for a 60day gamecard. Total 1.200.000 bolivares. I am NOT gonna pay that much for a videogame, that's fer sure. Not when my PC is dieing on me, and I need to replace several parts of it (Graphics card, motherboard, and processor, its either 1 of these, or all of these, I dunno T_T)
For context: Since March, my PC has this problem where it randomly shuts down for no aparent reason, and I have no idea why that is happening, over 6 different technicians have taken a look at it and nobody can find out what's going on.
So, I have 3 suspects (Since I tried with a different hard-drive, and RAM memory, as well as a different power-source, and voltage regulator and the problem persisted) The suspects are Graphics card, motherboard, and processor. Either one of these is damaged, or all of them are =/

I'm going to ask a stupid question: Do you check for spyware and viruses regularly? Every day?

I totally understand but give them some time to look into it. I'm quite sure that if there is a problem it will be easily reversible.

Any recommended servers to start on?

I don't think it matters much. Get on a medium to well populated one. There is no real pvp element, so you don't have to look for a good heavy server, or an evil heavy server. The real thing you have to choose carefully, is your class.
Each class is separated into two different classes, if that makes any sense. If a charachter is a cleric, they are either a templar, or an inquisitor. They can switch by doing a quest. But, some gear is templar or inquisitor specific, so people don't usually do it after a certain point. While both are clerics, they play very different. The inquisitor has slightly better dps spells, and the templar has slightly better healing spells, but both spells compliment eachother, so a raid will probably need both.
That said, some people would suggest, for instance, that a cleric level up as an inquisitor, since the better dps will help them level, and then switch to a templar, if they want to play a templar, after they get max level. I DO NOT suggest that. I suggest leveling up as the templar, even if it takes a bit longer, so that you will understand your spells better.
There are some classes that are not represented in WoW either. My favorite, in particular, is the shaman. The two subclasses are the defiler and the mystic. The defiler was my main charachter. It is very very ward heavy. The spells give a protective ward that prevent X amount of damage. It's true preventative healing. The defiler will almost never cast any actual heal spells, and the whole group feels very safe because their health never moves.
If you have questions about which class to pick, I'd love to help, even though my knowledge is a few years old, it will still be useful.

I picked a swashbuckler, seemed pretty fun. Going around this area and picking up all sorts of crafting things because that's fun too.
