“They asked if I know spanish.”
“ME MUCHO GRANDE HABLA ESPANOL!”
“They asked me about my vagina..”
“MUCHO GRANDE TACO!”
ohh god my poor eyes :S
here's a more proper translation (Spanish is my main language)
"They asked if I know spanish" = "Me preguntaron si hablo español"
a proper answer (asuming he does not know how to speak spanish properly) would be "No se hablar español muy bien"
about the other one.........

Do you have to cut out simple sugars and easily broken down carbs only, or dies it apply to things that are high fiber or non-digestable carbohydrates too? Like, is it based on blood sugar levels, or do you need to avoid any kind of carbs? I ask, because there are a lot of low-carb alternatives out there, that use fiber and sugar alcohols which are still technically carbs but don't affect your blood sugar level much.

That's totally how my mother tries to speak Spanish. She knows like 25 words and whenever we go to a Mexican, Spanish, etc. restaurant, she feels the need to use all of them. She also does it with my brother in law, who doesn't speak a whole lot of English. What she doesn't know in Spanish, she feels can be conveyed by speaking English louder, using exaggerated sweeping gestures and adding "io" to the end of English words. Sigh...

My blood pressure's okay, but they just said avoid starchy carbs and sugars mostly. I'd assume high fibre food such as many cereals would still be fine, and obviously fruit even though many have a lot of sugars in them. I'd assume my fat intake would have to be cut if my blood sugar or pressure was bad, but that's not the case.

Then take a look. There are a lot of products that use fiber in the place of digestible carbs, for people watching their carb intake. They also make a lot of sweets with the artificial sweeteners. I know for a fact that the carb cruncher bagels, when you toast them, taste just about the same as normal bagels. I've also seen low carb cheesecakes, chocolate bars, etc. Usually they're not necessarily healthier in other regards, but if all you're cutting out is carbs it should work.
A note- a lot of products will list "sugar alcohols" and not count them in their net carbs. That's kind of iffy, especially when the issue is not having any sugars in your stomach, and not just trying to keep your blood sugar down. I'd avoid anything with more than 3-4 grams of the alcohol sugars per serving.
EDIT: Actually, anything by Karb Krunchers is pretty good.

=/ yhea, that habit seems to be stuck on many folk who think that speaking louder, or slower, or adding strange letters to words will manage to break the language barrier.
Reminds me of that brad pitt movie "The Mexican" where he's stuck in mexico, walking on a desert when he spots a group of people on a truck and tries to get a ride, but doesn't know spanish.
his solution? (While making exaggerated hand gestures and mimic) "I........need.......a.........ride.........in......your..........erm........truck'o"
particulary funny because unknown to him, the driver speaks english and says in complete deadpan "you have a speech impediment gringo?"I mean really :S ME MUCHO GRANDE HABLA ESPANOL! is like someone saying in english ME VERY MUCH ENGLISH SPEAK!
not even tarzan is that bad :S
That was the entire point...
=/ sorry, english isn't my main language, so I tend to have a hard time differentiating jokes from sarcasm and I've had a rather large fill of people trying to use shoddy spanish on me while playing on my realm.
I mean, there was this one time where I was tanking sindragosa, I was supposed to go to the left wall, but I was lagged. Well, the raid leader says in vent "hey go to the left wall" but again I was lagged, I could hear him in vent, but my toon was not moving, he says again "hey, left wall" "how you say wall in spanish? wall'o?"

Yeesh, $7 for a loaf of bread? :P But that's a quite helpful link, although to be honest I'm just trying to work out what else you can do to vegetables except for make soup, boil them or roast them or eat 'em raw. ;) And make ratatouille with some, but mmm. Ratatouille. Excuse me while I salivate.
My food intake is going to be so random seeing as I can eat as much of everything bar carbs as I want, yet only like a half-palm of carbs per meal. Yeesh. And I've got like a month of pills to take. Yay me!

Oh, ok. Well, I know that you can mash cauliflower, like potatoes, and it's pretty decent. Stir-fries are a great way to do veggies too- get a couple of bags of whatever you like frozen, stir fry it with chicken or beef, and Soy sauce (I'd say Teriyaki normally, but that has a lot of sugar) and either eat it as is or add low carb pasta. Omelets with a lot of veggies are a good low carb choice too. You can stuff shrimp with feta cheese and spinach, or mushroom caps with both of those plus mozzarella and artichoke. Broccoli and cheese make a good stuffing or topping for chicken cutlet, and if you wanted to bread chicken or anything else, you can use Parmesan cheese instead of bread crumbs.
EDIT: Oh- and eggplant parm, if you used the no-bread-crumb trick.

Thanks for those tips, Elhonna. :D I'll definitely try to remember a couple of those ideas.

No problem. Whenever I diet, I tend to prefer the low carb method, so I picked up a lot of tricks. However, my current partner in life wants to diet without having to eat veggies. I am trying to make that work, but it throws the low-carb thing out the window unless I just want to serve chunks of meat like we were the Flintstones.
