Here is my arcane spec
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=o0eibzrcdfGu0zxdfcbcZhbb
My partner is a Destruction Lock. I am speccing in to the armor bonus From teh frost and arcane tree to have more survivabilty against the power house melee classes currently reacking havoc in arena. I will probably be getting the arcane missles glyph to increase the critical hit damage of Missle Barrage Procs, the evocation glyph obviously and the frost armor glyph to get even more armor.
Questions and Comments please.
AND ALSO Please no spam no bashing anyone or anything and please be constructive.

All of your points are worthless in Frost, especially Icy Flows when you don't even have Icy Veins, and you sure as hell aren't going to be Ice Blocking more than once a match as Arcane.
Dump all the points from Frost into Fire up to Molten Shields if you're looking to improve your wards for survivability against other mages. With 3/3 Impact, Molten Armor will offer you more protection against melee than Frost Armor ever will (15% chance to be stunned per hit? Yesplz).

These are the changes I'd suggest. Stacking armor as a mage is pointless, work on your kiting. If you're looking to tank, spec Frost.

Ok first off about that spec StrangeWifCandy posted. Pyroblast- waste of a point never going to be used. Not fire spec and not PomPyroing it. Also Flame throwing is hardly worth the points just to give fireblast a bit more range. They are better spent elsewhere. Just aswell world of flames will do 100% of nothing as I'll most likely never cast any of those spells and only have 2 of them. The points in Netherwind presence also seem like a waste. I dont plan on sitting still for a cast time unless I have PLENTY of time. If it increases the speed of missle barrage procs (?) then I can understand that would be a good idea.
I do see your reasoning for putting points in molten sheilds must admit thats a mighty fine idea I will have to try. Arcane subtelty is a toss up for me still. I understand my personal buffs could be disspelled but Pom will be used up instantly and is losing an arcane power really gonna be that HUGE of a loss?
Moving on
Why would you remove all the armor talents? I understand my armor will still be pathetic but the biggest threat are melee classes. Casters rarely give me much trouble. The damage from melee attacks is huge compared to how much they are doing compared to how much health I have. Stacking armor with spare talents seems like a logical and good idea to me.
The points in frost are PURELY just to get to the armor bonus. Frostbite is a nice 15% chance to freeze them down when I use cone of cold and the points in Ice floes cant hurt at all. Reducing the cooldown of Cone of Cold, Frost Nova, and Ice block are just a small bonus. I can see how molten sheilds would probably be a better choice over frost warding tho. Except going that route removes any reason to go with armor bonus's which is the idea since melee poss the biggest threat. Kiting is fine and I will be maintaing slow on the target if not all targets. IDK just a bit skepticle on going with full damage output over surviving the o Crap moments.
Heres an updated Spec going with a Damage focus

Please mention if Netherwind Presence reduces the cast time of Missile barrage procs. If so I will probably adjust acordingly.
As for my warlock Partner. He tested out some Destro ideas and was not pleased (big affliction fan) If you have any ideas for ANY kind of spec that a warlock should go please mention them but Note I am not asking to discuss them. This is about a Mage spec.

It is worth buffing armour as mage but agree that ice armour isnt worth speccing talent points into.
Just take a few points in Arcane Fortitude. 2 is probably enough to get the edge in survivability. I;ve got 3 and have managed to get out of a number of rogue and dk onslaughts with just a bit of hlh left cos of this armour buff.
I;ve ditched ABar as an experiment and because I pve more then pvp - but for an arena mage you need the ABar.
6% spell haste is a big buff - definitely worth taking.
