More random rambling and questionable content
Recently made lvl 30, having a lot of fun beating the crap out of things.
I was lvl 20 about 17 days ago, and probably could have been 40 by now but I spent a lot of farming for hides and junk.
I have Deep Wounds going on, and I find it rather sweet... Is it me, or does Crits affect the amount of damage that Deep Wounds does? Does Deep Wounds happen off of either weapon?
After reading, a lot of people recommend a slow high damage weapon, but it would seem that a fast weapon would be better long term. More chances to hit = more crits = more damage from Deep Wounds.
Death comes often, but usually because of my stupidity. I have problems paying attention to my health, and that gets me into trouble. However, unlike my rogue, I rountinely body surf into a camp, grab 3 or 4, pull them back a little ways, lay down the smack, and survive with most of my health intact.
What should I been watching and waiting for now that I am 30? Any mobs that special made to screw over tanks?
What zone is next for leveling? I just finished Duskwood, going to Wetlands to catch up there. But I feel like I missed something.

A slow weapon has to do with the fact that a lot of your damage is from skills and not straight up white damage which is timed based on your skill time and not so much your attack speed. Though at lower levels you will probably not have all the skills that aren't dependent on aspd so it might be more viable to use faster weapons.
As for zones, you missed I guess ashenvale, but that's a pretty lousy place to quest imo. Wetlands should be good then arathi followed by some southshore or you can start up in stv which is good for a long while. Jame's leveling guide is really good if you want to level really fast and efficiently.

I went to STV at 30.
I am leveling as Arms until 55, so I am going 2H.
As far as Deep Wounds, I don't think there is an absolute answer. The goal of course, is to maxmize DW damage, and that of course is determined by how often it ticks and for how much.
By my way of thinking, anytime you overwrite Deep Wounds with a crit, I think you're wasting damage. I think the goal would be to minimize the amount of times your overwrite, and to me, that means a slower weapon.

Oh yeah, that's right. They changed it so that it stacked.

Deep Wounds stack?
Oh, very nice indeed.
If you are trying to maximize Deep Wounds, you want to get a lot of Agility? I was reading up and Agility is in all sorts of goodness...
# Increases armor by 2 per point.
# Increases chance to score a critical hit with a weapon.
# Increases chance to dodge attacks. This is dependent on both class and level.
I know that at this level that some bonuses are just not worth being concerned with. Would it be worth going for lots of Agility, or just continue as I have been?

Past 30 a short while ago on my warrior, and the place I found really good for a quick grind up a couple of levels is the saltflats at the bottom of Thousand Needles. Lots of quests that can be gathered in one place, then basically have a wander around smacking most of what you come across to gather quest items.
