A good option for a DPS feral druid is, in my opinion, just like for tanking, Jewelcrafting. Because of
This trinket, socketed with 2 x
Bold Dragon's Eyes. For a properly talented Cat, it yields ~231AP in cat form. And Blessing of Kings makes it even better, at ~243AP. Too bad the 'Use' effect is so terrible for DPS that it isn't even worth mentioning. I thought that boar would scale off the owner's attributes or AP or something. But as it is, it only does some stupid 70-80 damage per hit... Blah. But as a boost to raw AP this is a very nice trinket and it is extremely cheap to craft as well.
But anyway, even when you get your hands on better trinkets, Jewelcrafting still remains a solid option, because being able to fulfill ANY meta gem requirement by using 3
Bold Dragon's Eyes - especially in those pesky blue or yellow sockets - and allowing for full
Bold Scarlet Ruby socketing in all the other gem slots is simply the best boost feral DPS can get from a profession.
And probably the same reasoning would be valid for Moonkins. The
Figurine - Twilight Serpent is pretty amazing for cheap crafted trinket. 1.6% hit and 292 spell power for 20 seconds right off the bat is nothing to sneeze at. Socketing it with 2 x
Runed Dragon's Eyes would add another 71 passive Spell Power bonus. Or boosting it with 2 x
Rigid Dragon's Eyes to get a hefty total of ~2.93% hit chance. Or haste or whatever floats the boat.
And of course, the other big advantage of Jewelcrafting is the same as for feral DPS. Activation of meta gems with three Dragon's Eyes which allows for full spell power or haste socketing or whatever is better for Boomkins (not that much experience there, I have been feral since level 10 and never specced into restoration or balance :P).
