I tried being Affliction, but I don't think it is working out as well. I was hoping UA would help, but it doesn't appear to help too much. I've had the most success with a Draingaurd build and it is probably what I will go back to using. The Felguard seems to help us more than the Felhunter for whatever reason. I was thinking his silences would help more, but it doesn't seem to so far. (I am manually using silence.)
I was doing some 2v2 skirmish with my friend who is ench shamy.
We faced disc priest and arms warr, at the start me and shamy were hexing and fearing warr so we could burn priest down , after 3 min of "chasing " priest ,priest thought it would be cool to dispel my UA .
After dispeling UA it crited for 11089 shadow dmg and leaving 5 sec silence + 3 sec silence from

.
The same second UA was dispelled shamy poped Feral spirit and Bloodlust so for the 8 sec silence duration we killed priest and finished warr after.
Well timed spell lock and CC can turn the match in your favor

Against a priest, especially disc, I would attempt the following.
Fake a focus on the priest. Immediately try to fear him. That burns the ward. Then have your Paladin friend use Hammer of Justice. When he trinkets that, try using Repentence. At that point, he's used all of his CC removal (in theory). With the assault on the priest, the other is likely to be coming in quickly to save his friend.
That's when you pounce. But you've got to be quick in some fashion, because whoever his partner is, he'll be busting every defensive cooldown he has and most likely trying to CC the Paladin to kill you.
As far as warlock specs go, I don't know much specifically, but as a moonkin, I envy Shadowfury. Something like this

looks really nasty to me. With the Glyph of Corruption (chance for instant shadowbolts), Nightfall, and Backlash... seems like you've got a lot of room for mobility and shadow bolt burst damage. However, you've still got Soul Link, Drain ability, and some hefty dots. If you give it a try, I'd like to know how it works. My warlock friend wanted to 2v2 with me as Moonkin, lol.

Your problem, besides being a lock which sucks in arenas right now, is that you splurge too quickly. You have to set yourself up. Your complaint is that you are unable to fear the priest due to fear ward and trinket. Your solution is prep work, as with any class. You have to lay a fear or two on him at the time BEFORE you want to actually attempt to kill them. Lay your first one early. Knock that fear ward off. Cast another one, which they might be tempted to ride out....so follow it with a drain mana and they will trinket it. THEN you lay all your dots and fear the dps a couple times. Switch back to the priest, refresh dots, restart fears now that DR is refreshed....go to town.

PoM is always an issue with a warlock. You can't DoT both of them, but with a ret paladin, it won't matter much if the dps is hitting either of you from ret aura. Making PoM bounce is always a bad thing.
I used to use it on locks a whole lot in S3. I practically didn't have to heal other tham PoM and renew because it bounced so much.
Destro would possibly be a better spec to go with a ret pally. Use your backlash, and hope to nuke him before your pally uses all his CD's. Make use of the teleport also. That is an under used talent in lower ranking arena.
