Dual Spec will kill the game...

Even though I have been pro dual spec for the longest time, I actually thought about this implementation in the game at this point.
Here are the reasons why I think that dual spec is a bad idea:
1. I am a healer and the other healers out there will be able to vouch for this. I sign onto my healer because I like to raid for the majority of the part. And when I enter LFG I get into a group in less then a minute. Now when dual spec will kill this... luxury.
2. As a part of my first statement there will be a bunch of... "unskilled" player trying to heal a heroic run without the experience and/or gear. There will be plenty of wipes that are not needed. A gear doesn't make the healer unlike some other roles in the game.
3. Gear is the most important part. With the implementation of spell power in wrath. I see gear being passed out to people who do not know they're class and what they need it a peace of gear. With dual spec people will want to role on other sets that are not they're 'main'. How will 'pugs' know if that is you're main spec or if you are ever that spec once in you're life.
Don't get me wrong I would love to go elemental when I am not in raids, but there are a lot of things that can go wrong in a game where thinggs are getting quite boring.

Hello, I'm a Druid.
This week we lacked a healer, so I sacrificed my tanking/DPS-spot for respeccing Restoration. This cost me 50 gold, because I do this kind of thing very frequent.
Dual Specs will allow me to perform at my best in both builds, without spending lots of gold respeccing and reglyphing.
So, I disagree. This change will be wonderful.

There are more things that will go right then wrong if implemented correctly.

The idea is awesome don't get me wrong but not everyone has the experience or not the natural skill that some healers have. It's bad enough that some people can't heal when all they do is heal. I am going on the idea that healers is more of learn or known thing for people. Its not something can pick up and go out and do...

you fail to see the majority of wow players perspective, the one where it takes them 40 minutes to find a healer for a heroic, or much longer for raids.
the only luxury you will lose is the one where you gladly accept an invite only to find someone has to leave in 15 minutes because they waisted their time in queue. "oh no everyone (not just me) will be able to find a group faster how awful". selfish imo because yes, it is a luxury no one else has and they shouldn't be punished for enjoying/being good at thier class.
on your 2nd point: many people on healing classes do sometimes prefer dpsing, but can also heal, how skilled do you need to be anyway. even so, the rash of "unskilled healers" will last like 2 weeks if at all.
Im also sure if people don't like healing in the first place, they wont have their second spec a heal spec anyway, perhaps a pvp and pve dps spec. You assume ALL people will spec into heals even if they don't like it. if they do like it, most likely they are good at it, and also have some gear for it. therefore more likely to make a healing/dps pair of specs.
part 3: if you ever been in a group, you know loot is handed out according to current spec. nothing will change. if i invite you to heal, you will get healing gear, if i invite you to dps, you get dps gear. simple.

Seems to be good for hybrids bad for pure classes (pve wise).

seems this is all geared towards healing classes but dual specs help so much more for your PVE to PVP players mages for instance PVE as frostfire (not all but most) and PVP as frost or arcane same with warriors not many pvp as prot.
o well that get my 2 cents in i guess
agree, this benefits EVERYONE. unless all you ever do is pvp and you are in love with your spec.

That's true, I didn't consider that. I'm just thinking more along the lines of hybrids rolling on items for their "other spec". Increased competition is what worries me, not everyone will go by the main spec before offspec rule in a pug. Guild groups it will work out nicely for sure.

Same goes for me, although I'm a Hunter, and there's no "off-spec" for me, but I'm specced a certain way in SV for maximum raid DPS.
I would like to be more effective in PvP though, for example, I dropped the point in Scattershot so I could maximise my raid DPS. Sure it doesn't seem much for me, because in reality I'm only shifting 5-10 points around, but it's nice knowing I can step into a raid with the best (or one of the best) talent specs for raiding, and step into a BG or WG knowing I am properly equipped (talentwise) for PvP.
Another thing I'd like to see implemented is 2 sets of gear.
Similar to dual-spec, but dual-gear equips.
THIS is not necessary, but it does 2 things:
1 - Save bank/bag space.
2 - Easy to switch back and forth..
Although it's definitely not a priority, since it really only saves maybe half a minute, one minute of your time. But it'd be nice to have.

Sounds like what you really mean is that it will kill your experience, not the game. Don't make sweeping generalizations based on how you think it might affect you.

Whether you're a healer, tank, or DPS, learn your role well and build a good reputation with other guilds and people on your friend list. Ignore everyone else.
Now you'll be useful to the people who know what a good player you are, and will be able to spec what you want for any given situation.
Problem solved.
