if your only going for it to get the trinkets then i wouldent bother
but yeah depending on your servers econamy it can be really profitable or just a waste of a proffession it also got kicked down a notch because you can chain chug pots anymore but ive found that pots arent all that useful as i dont seem to run out of mana as quickly as i used to although that may be because i play a ele shaman
its mainly about the econamy and if you want to put in the time to get it up to 450 and if you find it useful or not

Part of the issue is that it's just not handy sometimes to assist. If they're leveling they're not in towns, and if they're cap it's awkward to get to the smaller town to assist then get home so it's oft easier to be lazy. Generally your best bet is someone about to log out and doesn't mind burning their hearth to help you out. Or get a guildee to mail the mats to so they can make it and pop it back out to you.
The other thing is that often people in town are either doing something specific, nothing at all specifically, or afk..so it's hard to wrangle assistance sometimes. It's not exactly a new issue but with more and more different major cities it gets harder to get someone to spend the time for you. My solution tends to be to skip some of those quests just cause it's too annoying to track someone down.
