We have been trying for months on end to replicate and finally solve this problem, and so far have had no luck. Are you guys using antivirus or firewall software?

I use zonealarm and had AVG, but switched to za and avast, and no stalls anymore. However... I now get "authentication failed" error when clicking the update button. Yes, I have checked to make sure my WH user/pass is correct.

I am having the same issues as listed above. Has anyone in these posts been able to sort it out? I have used other addons simular to this and have no problems with them updating. I have turned off Windows Firwall.. as well as kaspersky av. Still nothing..?
Any suggestions would be welcomed short of using a BFH on the puter. :)

EDIT: I have noticed that when I checked my wow folder the addon that this is supposed to be. is not loaded under the Interface / Addons folder ans on another note. the Directory where the addon is supposed to update from is wrong.
its should be as follows.
XP users shoud be able to find there WoW thru the Programs Folder
then follow the same directories
World of Warcraft / WFT / Account / (select Acct) / Realm / Character / Saved Variables.
For Vista-
Public / Games / World of Warcraft / WFT / Account / (select Acct) / Realm / Character / Saved Variables.
then the you should be able to see Wowhead Client. if its listed.. which in my case it isnt. I am gueesing the Source code is invalid and need s to be reconfigured. ill poast more as i check for solutions and post. as it seems there is no immediate resolution coming anytime soon.

This is a different issue—an issue with the WoW updater, not our software. I suggest you post your question in our
WoW Help
forum to see if anyone else has any similar issues?

This is not a Wowhead issue. I'm afraid you're going to have to contact Blizzard directly via
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com
.
