The key to BMs in arenas is to NOT use big red. Of course big red is necessary for a kill....but that big red is not the intended purpose of BM. As BM your focus is on "running away all the freakin time" while your viper sting and pet drain out the battle in an attrition win. Granted, I haven't yet done arenas since wotlk came out and I know burst is currently the OP thing so this probably doesn't apply as long as the whole burst thing remains broken.

Although... if you were a die-hard BM lover, I'd suggest

No.
This
is better than that by a lot.
In arenas your really not going to have the time to sit there and take the full advantage of IAotH. 3/3 in Imp. Monkey isn't good seeing that you should be far enough away from kiting that it shouldn't be too big of a deal but I guess this is okay.
Nothing in Imp. Mend pet? It's essential for cleanses.
No points in Beastial Discipline? That's a huge no-no. Your pet will be very focus starved. Also 4/5 is enough to keep Frenzy up on you pet, same with Cobra Strikes.
How you missed Lethal Shots is beyond me. 5/5 is a must. Imp. Concussive shot isn't that good although it's okay. Skip FA as you don't need the hit as much as in PvE. The lowering of the interrupts on SS isn't that important as if some one is that close you shouldn't be using SS.
Then the remaining 3 points you have from the removal of Imp. Concussive and one point out of GftT should be placed in Imp. Stings.. Better damage from Serpent and better drains from Viper

I'm a die hard BM hunter. I just love the aspect of having a minion chew someone out big while I play dodgeball with them. I am actually going to see here in the near future if I can create a survival/BM hybrid build focused around doing just that. Might have to lose the big red to do it, but it would be an attrition build at the core.

Ok I have two builds I am tossing between that I thought were creative. Feel free to input thoughts on them. Keep in mind, the idea is to have a strong pet for consistent dps while I, as the character, try my best to be CC king and keep away from the enemy in the process. If I get successful shots off in the process, all the better. The battle with this spec would be won via attrition (constant CC'ing, constant dps, constant mana drain....with maximized survival ability).

The variations between these two builds that are linked is the one has less CC and mana over duration but a pet that is significantly more powerful while the other has increased CC through double wyvern sting and a mana pool that will stay maximized.
My biggest concern with those two builds would be the inability to obtain the pet that has the special ability to hamstring their target a lot. I forget which pet that is, but would it require the bottom talent in BM in order to obtain that pet? If so, I would have to scrap more survival talents, particularly wyvern sting, and get a build that looks perhaps like this last build which still has some burst and scatter shot:

Let me know what y'all think.

Oh, I forgot to mention. One of the best things about these builds is that by being deep into survival your opponent won't expect the big red.

No aimed shot = fail in pvp.
Just my opinion.
P.S.: And thats a hyena I believe.

In an attrition build aimed shot isn't necessary. Its oriented more towards burst and making sure the healer fails at his job. In attrition your CC is oriented towards CC'ing the dps of the opposite team most of the time, while the healer's mana runs oom before yours does. But a good thought. I just don't see how it'd be feasible to make an aimed shot build when specc'ing BM/survival, though.
