Hi, I'm 80 mage but still kinda noobie at it.
I see alot of stickies about specs, but i can't grasp which spec would be better.
I'm currently full arcange mage, and it doesn't seem like i'm doing too low of dps.
I've been full frost and full fire before but never done ffb mage before and was wondering how good they are.
can anyone point out pros and cons for arcane mage and ffb mage? and which would be better for pve and raiding? thank you.

Both Arcane and FFB are solid raiding/PvE specs. Arcane is also somewhat easier to gear for, needing less +hit and having a fairly clear pecking order in terms of stat weights. The rotation is also somewhat easy, though you need to know when to time CDs (AP, Evo, PoM, etc) and when to conserve/burn your mana.
FFB relies much more on a high crit rating, so it will generally ramp up as you gear up. The rotation is more complex, requiring you to keep certain effects up, but it also doesn't have as many "should I use this now?" functions and there isn't really a burn/conserve rotation.
Without seeing your Armory, it sounds like you're probably still gearing up somewhat, so I would say that if you enjoy Arcane, stick with it. If you don't, give FFB a try, though realize that if your crit isn't very high (or if you're going to need to sacrifice a lot of SP and other stats for it) then you'll probably see a DPS drop. You should experiment though and see what suits you best. The nice thing about being a mage is that you can keep many pieces of equipment between specs, as compared to, say, a Warrior, who really needs to swap everything to go from one role to another.
