It should not, and imp ret aura as in...
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=20091
? why would that change your weapon speed are you sure its not something else. Also use recount and see how much you crit in each case and what kind of damage sample did you use for this "dps" reading. Need more info to answer your question.

Probably this:
Swift Retribution
However, this should increase dps - as you still hit for the same damage, but a bit faster.
Edit: maybe changed speed screwed your rotation cos you aren't used to that speed...dunno rly

gamer if you are using seal of command then maybe your dps drop, beacuse seal of command is better with slower weapon but if u use seal of martyr/blood your dps should be higher

Always use SOM unless i'm farming, is there a site that anyone knows where can punch in your stats and change your spec around to see increases or decreases depending on wat talents you use.
There are a lot of things that decrease your dps. Swift Retribution is not one of them.
More than likely, what you are saying is RNG or the Law of Averages in play. Swift Retribution will NOT mess up your rotation, as another poster suggested. It will make you hit every so slightly faster for the same amount. That's a dps gain.
This is a "Boy Cries Wolf" scenario wherein you're trying to assign blame for a dps drop that probably (1) doesn't exist and (2) isn't caused by what you think it's caused by.
Swift Retribution is a dps increase. Period.

What I meant, it's really a difference notable on GCD. Feels different. But anyway...
Period.

ok before everyone flys off the handle answer my damn question, "What kind of damage sample was used?" if it was only a small sample like 13k damage or something then it was probably a you crit more the first time, honestly anything less then a 150,000 damage sample is not viable for a "Dps test" but surely that wouldn't involve an IQ of more then 50 to work out...
*edited* for my bad spelling
