Make him sit out on thadius if he doesn't respec? That's pretty lame. You must have some crappy dps to need 1 more instead of tank dps pushing what, 1500-2k depending on his gear, and probably more since this is thadius.

On this subject, having a level 80 paladin AND druid......
They need to make a set fee to save or "permanently train" a talent spec and glyphs, and then it costs 5g to spec back to it so long as you go back to a trainer and respec to it. Also, it should be unlimited.
Choosing 2 specs would be harsh.
My paladin alone- Holy PVE, Holy PVP, ret PVE, ret PVP, and prot. Not to mention prot with or w/o kings.
Then my druid- resto, tank, feral dps, feral pvp. That's not even raiding yet, then if I was raiding and picking up balance gear too....
Dual spec isn't enough IMO.

I haven't been following this "Dual Spec" thing. Is it being able to have multiple trees saved to your character so you can quickly switch between them for whatever you need?
Pretty much.
The famous "dual spec" feature will allow you to virtually create two versions of your character, and switch between them easily in cities, a little not-so-trivial out (Blizzard have not specified). Talent spec, spells on action bars, UI, macros - everything will be saved. So when you switch to "Tanking", your spec will go tanking, your tanking spells will fall in the action bars as you've arranged them, your tanking macros and addons will kick in. Etc. Same for any other spec.
The latest news we have is that this thing
may
come in 3.1.0, but it's just a sheer possibility.

It would be nice if glyphs were also saved.

Indeedy, I do.

In what way? Glyphs will swap too.
Ghostcrawler
:
We haven't finalized the design, because ideally we want to be able to get it on a PTR and have players try it out.
Our thought at the moment is that swapping specs (going from A to B) will truly be free in towns and possibly during the prep phase of PvP. In an instance it may cost a nominal fee (think reagent level). We want you to be able to do it when you want to do it, but we also don't want to slow things down if everyone is constantly flipping spec from fight to fight. But if it's free in town, then obviously it can't be more of a burden out of town than just hearthing and being summoned back is or nobody will use the remote option.
Someone helpfully quoted our response on why we are likely to launch the feature with "only" 2 specs.
Ghostcrawler
:
It will swap your talents, glyphs and the position of buttons on your action bars.
Note you actually have to buy the glyphs for both specs first.
Wryxian
:
Because it is a bit more featured than originally mentioned, we'll be needing to do a bit more work on it before we can share it with you. So we're hoping to bring this feature to you in our next
major
content patch, but only if we're happy enough with it to make it live.
3.1.0 was specifically mentioned somewhere, but I am a little tired (and am seeing blue all over the place) to find it.
EDIT
: Aren't you lucky...
Ghostcrawler
:
It will not be in the next patch, 3.0.8. If all goes well, we'll get it in the one after that, but we usually don't tell you our estimates so there is less ALL CAPS POSTING when we miss our targets.

Look at all the effort he put in for you...give him a big hug. Seriously that was awesome. It helped me understand that whole thing since I haven't been able to find a blue post about it yet...

ArgentSun, this post actually put you very close to the top of my "favorite green people" list. Just behind the Hulk.
