I'm also a lvl 80 hunter with 450 skinning :) I have found Sholazar Basin to be a really good place. Due to all the Nessingwary quests there are usually loads of dead beasts to skin. And it's all in a small area too. You have to be lucky and get it at the right time when people are questing though, otherwise there might not be much to skin. I like opportunistic skinning! The other places are south east areas where the gorillas are. The neutral ones all cluster together in groups and you can aoe them down with volley in seconds, great fun! Works particularly well with a gorilladin pet. This place has also given me the most arctic furs, probably due to the amount I can skin.

Two words...
Sholazar Basin!
You will never need to go anywhere else unless you want Jormungar Scale or Icy Dragonscale. The best place would be the north end where the groups of neutral white gorillas congregate in groups with black gorillas solo. Then there are the Rhinos in the south-western end, and the Mammoth herds to the northwest. The place is crawling with skinnable beasts, that also drop meats. The Gorillas drops tons of Chilled Meat, Rhinos drops Rhino Meat and Mammoths drop Mammoth, go figure...
For Jormungar Scale you want to travel to Dun Niffelem up by the Sons of Hodir. The valley before the village teems with Mammoths and Jormungar mobs waiting for you to kill and skin them.
For Icy Dragonscale I like the open area directly east of the Temple of Storms in Storm Peaks. The wyrms there are easy to kill, are in large numbers and respawn fast. There are also some Rhino herd there as well, so you can kill herds of them for leather and meat.
