For major glyphs i suggest
Glyph of the Ghoul
and
Glyph of Scourge Strike
The first one bumps my ghoul's hp from 8k to 11k and i imagine the DPS increase would be very noticeable too (Ghoul used to be 1/5 of my DPS, i havent done enough damage to reliably tell you how much it does now but it looks like it's just above 1/4).
Ghoul used to do 2k corpse explosion, now it does closer to 2.9k, which is very awesome (I have minor glyph of the ghoul so i abuse the hell out of them).
I imagine the second one to be more convenient. If i had to choose Glyph of Rune Tap, this is the glyph i'd sacrifice, since applying diseases is second nature to me (gets to the point where i have to tell myself not to reapply).

If you're going to even tank occasionally, glyph of Death and Decay. 20% increase in damage is almost 40% increase in threat.

I do see your point on Glyph of Horn of Winter. I never really thought of it that way, I just thought of keeping that buff up longer to benefit longer.
Yeah, it's a horrible thing to be in a group like that. I did heroic Strat this AM and couldn't use my own HoW because a stronger buff was up. it's like we need to make a macro to clear the existing one.

Like:
#showtooltip Horn of Winter
/cancelaura Horn of Winter
/cast Horn of Winter
I've had so many dk's complain about the HoW glyph that I've macro'd the macro for party chat. It takes less time to create the macro than it does to come onto a forum and !@#$% about one of the few useful minor glyphs we have (and even that isn't saying much).

Meh, it's not that it's totally $%^&*worthy (except for the first time you run into it... which was me this morning), but to me, Blizzard shouldn't have allowed it to exist in the first place. They wanted to change HoW to a RP generator so we wouldn't be slapping down a D&D pre-fight to build RP, and then they find a way to either 1) require us to get the glyph or 2) create a macro because they have no foresight.
