Hello!
I have been thinking about this achievement on a twink for quite a while, and I wanted to see if there were any flaws in my plan. Now, I want to get this achievement on a 39 twink, so I can explore about half of Azeroth myself. I think you can do the rest of Azeroth, Outland, and Northrend with the help of someone with the Mekgineer's Chopper/Mechano-hog. Why not the the traveller's mammoth? You can be dazed off of it, which is not the case with Mekgineer's/Mechano-hog.
For all the areas that require a flying mount, you'd need to get summoned by a warlock.
It can probably be done at level 29, 19, or even starting at level 1, since the mount itself takes the damage from mobs, not the player. ( I think )
Of course, for the 19, 29, 39, etc twinks you would have to start earlier than at that level.
Are there any areas that are completely unreachable by low levels? Any flaws? Please tell me, before I go wasting a ton of gold buying these services from other players :p

Some areas require a flying mount to explore so you'd need to have a warlock summon the twink to be able to explore the throne of kil'jaden or netherwing ledge.

Storm Peaks and Icecrown would be near impossible without a flying mount.

As I said, warlock summon to those areas and then do it with the mechano-hog/mekgineer's chopper when you're there.

The total XP required to hit level 20 is around 160,000. That's about what I got just flying around Icecrown at level 78. The XP to hit level 30 is around 480,000. I doubt that you can get explorer on a level 29 character. I realize that XP awards diminish when the level of the region is much lower or higher than the character level, but even so I suspect you'll still get too much. It would be interesting to determine the lowest possible level that each race can achieve explorer.

At level 78, you get more XP for discovering regions. At level 1, you'd probably get around 50-75 XP for discovering an area.

And here I thought twinks were already a waste of time, although before this it was an opinion based simply off a personal preference.

Is it possible to explore all of Outlands w/o a flying mount? I'm thinking of areas like Netherwing Ledge, where summoning is not possible and flying is required. Same goes for the instances in Netherstorm (where warlocks are useless). Maybe those areas aren't on the achievement?

Were you able to determine the formula for exploration XP awards or is this an estimate? I'm not saying that you are incorrect. I'm just interested the calculation used for the award.
