I'd recommend crit for disc priest solely for the procs.

For arenas, IMO spirit is better, when your up against another healer (priest more specifically), your usually burnin each others mana, and in the end. Its all about who will get it back faster than the other one. Crit is nice, but you shouldnt rely chance in arenas to save you =P

If you only roll 1/3 talents of your crit abilities, such as 1/3 DA and 1/3 Inspiration, basically making them dispel fodder, then crit isn't worth much. If you go 3/3 with them and have Silent Resolve maxed (like anyone should), then at a certain level you will be doing really, really well.
I've never had a replenishment partner for 2v2, so the Blizz statement doesn't mean much to me. But like Wowcrush said, you do need some spirit (and more than before if you had a replenishment partner).

I would go with 2-3 of one and 2 of the other so you can get a 50 more resil. and you also dont spend alot of time in the mp5 as dis b/c you are casting so often so the crit is better hower i woils stack 3 moon for spirit and 2 satin for crit
I am doing this with Deadly and Hateful atm. I'm at 880 resilience, and I find that the resilience really makes a difference. With Penance self castable, I'm not hurting for things to do to save myself. Perhaps I'll re-evaluate when I get my resilience a bit higher.
