They're genius really. The idiot public is hung up on a health craze, blindly sticking to anything that offers low-carb or all-natural (because we all know that anyone who listens to the likes of Paris Hilton for dietary advice is now an expert dietitian themselves). Pizza Hut is playing to this stupid craze and they'll probably make tons of money.
For the sake of the upcoming generation's purity: artificial doesn't mean bad. And low-carb doesn't mean good. Carbs are an important part of your diet, without them you starve (among other things) your brain. Consult a dietitian before making any sort of food related decisions, because it's blatantly obvious you can't trust anyone else.

Rofl, it reminds me of when McDonalds brought out their 'I'm Lovin' It' slogan.
Nuff sed.

This isn't just a craze. Perhaps some recall the M years with Evian, etc. Anyways, people talk--a lot. One of the things society as a whole understands is a 2,000 calorie diet. So less is good, right?
Now the latest thing is probably more along the lines of sodium or trans fat as opposed to "no fat" because those products obviously don't sell as well (usually taste different or cost substantially more). This was partially brought on by the incredible use of "bad" ingredients at fast food superstores such as KFC, etc. adding onto the "fried is bad" stereotype.
It's all about propaganda and deceit. Nothing new here.

Even scarier than pizza hut to me was McDonalds suddenly announcing a couple years ago:
"New Chicken McNuggets now with all white meat chicken!"
And I just sat there for a moment, blinked, and started trying to figure out just what the heck I had been eating before then >.>
I mean, more than likely just dark meat (hence why I hated the things) but it still made me pause.

lol, and when they came out with all their "Made To Order" crap. I used to work there before that and it was pretty badass lol. You'd make burgers and then chuck them in a holding bin for about 20min and then you're supposed to chuck em out. But of course with McDonalds cost reduction policy they turned a "blind-eye" to that kind of stuff. Then made to order came out, now they pay you the same amount and you do twice the amount of work 3 times as fast rofl. Luckily i got out just after all this came into play :)

Tastier being a totally relative term. Unless you like the taste of dirty ass.

alot of people missed the point of this post thought
the mozzarella cheese in their advertisement was
hard
and
yellow
these guys are so authentic....
and bump for their new italian lasagna commercial
Just bad timing. I'm sure they use real mozzarella cheese. It doesn't mean their ingredients are high quality.
I had the misfortune of living in Michigan for a few years, after being born and raised in NYC. All the pizzerias and restaurants around their could claim to use real fresh mozzarella all they wanted, and it was still bland and tasteless. Indeed, you could buy your own mozzarella from the store and it tasted like cardboard. Just because the cheese meets specifications to be called real mozzarella doesn't mean it's necessarily good.
Want a prime example? Try Domino's Brooklyn style pizza. If you've never had real NY pizza, I've got news for you: Domino's version is a joke. Or even better, go buy a flame-broiled 100% beef burger from Burger King and compare it to a fresh home-grilled burger.
That's how corporations like Pizza Hut make their profits. If everyone and everything stood for honesty, the capitalist world would be very, very different.
