If you don't give your password to anyone then how did she get on your account?

I wonder why your ex knew your account name and password, considering your password shouldn't easily be guessable.

The account name is shown in plain text on the login screen, all it takes is looking over the player's shoulder, and people close to you can often guess your passwords based on information they know about you, so what are you people gabbing about...? This really is quite elementary stuff.
I revised my previous post. >.>

I looked my character on the armory and i have no armor on my 80 hunter.
When I look up my characters on the Armory page, I don't see any gear either. In fact, I haven't been able to see anyone's gear since WotLK. I'm sure there's a way to do that, cause I think my boyfriend can see people's gear on the Armory (need to ask him the trick), but yeah, it might be just something on that page, and have nothing to do with your account itself. We have extra security built in though, so for me that might be the reason I can't see everything.
Unless your ex let you know he/she'd been in your account and did stuff, how can you be sure he/she was there and that things are wrong now, since you apparently can't access it?
Sharing any account information is not a very good idea, not even with your partner (my boyfriend and I don't know each other's passwords). But if you have shared info, and the partner becomes an ex, change your password asap, just in case.

All I can say is "That Sucks" if it was something your X did, thats just not right.....dang
As for an answer I don't know of anything you can do to find out if someone else was in the account and removed the gear. Only a GM as stated above can help in that area, I hope its just a glitch in the armory! I have a level 70 hunter with all epic PVP gear and that would kill me if an x stripped him clean and left him naked to face the alliance..
Good luck

Elementary stuff if you're a fool and make you password laughably weak. Don't make your password your last name.

ok so my password is not my name or anything close to that....ive already opened a ticket because i logged in this morning and my character was in the middle of a lake with everything deleted in my bags including my hearth. You guys think i slipped or something but i didnt.....i never told her anything about my PW or login. She hates me playing cause she thinks i do it to meet girls so i would never give her my PW or even hint what it could be...this isnt just your normal girl. She knows how to do stuff.I dont want anyone in my account PERIOD so i dont share info with anyone.
You might want to consider purchasing an Authenticator from the Blizzard Store. As long as you keep the Authenticator far away from her, it'll be virtually impossible for her to get into your account.

Yeah change the password to something very complicated and very random, like pic a name you hear on tv and ad a few numbers and symbols
then if she is really good with computers get some spyware to sweep for key-loggers and make sure to stay far away from such crazy girls in the future haha

Spend the $6.50 and get an account authenticator at the Blizzard Store.
You can post your password anywhere and noone can get it without that specific authenticator.
Not that I would post my password...but its just 1 more level of security.

If
forcing
your way into WoW accounts was doable as you say she must have, don't you think top hackers would be doing this already? The weakest part of nearly all systems are humans. I would still, even now, bet money on the fact that you screwed up somehow, and made this possible, whether you meant to or not.
Actually, using informal social engineering so to speak to guess people's passwords isn't quite that simple. A strong password could very well be a weak password to someone who is close to you. Consider they know you always bet on numbers 3 4 8 14 16 in the lottery and you love calzones - things no stranger would think of, but someone who has been very close to you could concievably guess/work out.
Not everybody's going to pick dG9eF#DH!jPtLk56*830O3 as their password you know. Nor would they be stupid for not doing so either. WoW's a game - you wouldn't really expect to need maximum security for your game account, if you're any kind of sane, normal person. ;P
This really IS elementary stuff...
We're talking about his girlfriend here, someone one would believe to be close to him, so you more or less are agreeing with what I said.
