Prot Spec, Deep Wounds, and Imp Spell Reflect?

Ok, I am planning on respecting tonight to this
Prot Spec with Deep Wounds
.
Currently I only have Impale, with both Vigilence and Improved Spell Reflect. To get Deep Wounds I would need to find 3 free points, which I would have to give up said talents. How important is Improved Spell Reflect for heroics or raids? Are there certain bosses that this is a must have talent? Does it only work for folks within a certain range?
Side question, with the nerf to Deep wounds, how is it for tanking still? Still doing decent damage or should I just put the points into cruelty?
Thanks in advance.

Improved spell reflect is a very marginal talent for raids. Somewhat more useful for heroics, but it depends a lot on what instance you go to.
Deep wounds has not been nerfed yet, it works exactly like it did before the patch. It will probably be nerfed in 3.1, but we don't yet know in what way. There has also been talk of compensating arms and perhaps prot warriors for the nerf.

Ah good to know for Deep wounds, I guess I'll have a couple of weeks to enjoy it still.
I haven't noticed a huge use for Improved spell reflect for the lower level Heroics I'm running atm. These are mainly UK, Nexus, VH, AN, and Drak. I mean its somewhat useful for Zuramat in VH for his shadow bolts and killing the adds. Otherwise I think that's about it for boss fights right?
I'll respec tonight to the link I posted above.

imp spell reflect is useful for malygos and fun for 5-mans. it's not a mandatory talent in any way. you will typically give up 3 in shield specialization or focused rage to do 15/5/51.
take a look at my current spec - i'm working on malygos, so i have imp. SR and DW.
for other content, i will move those points back into focused rage as i find i'm having to hold back on HS quite a bit with 1/3 there. i really don't like having 2/5 for shield spec, but i can't figure out how to get it back - maybe i'll have to drop cruelty or something...

Honestly, for Malygos it really doesn't make much of a difference. All it does is save a bit of damage on people in phase 2, and a bit of damage in phase 1. Since phase 2 is a cakewalk to heal, the actual benefit is not that great. I would recommend speccing for threat instead, since Malygos can be a bit challenging in that respect (unlike pretty much all other raid bosses in the game).
I have 5/5 shield spec and 2/3 focused rage with
my deep wounds build
, but that's without vigilance. Obviously you will want to grab that if threat is ever an issue.
With that build I tend to have around 90% or more of my autoattacks converted to heroic strikes.

I decided to try out Sakkura's spec and see how it goes. I'm not tanking Malygos anytime soon so Imp Spell Reflect shouldn't be an issue. I figure 2/3 in Focused Rage isn't that bad, and I don't rely on Vigilance for Heroics. I am missing Conc Blow for grinding though.
