At first,I must declare that the main reason of publishing such topic is my eternal question "Why paladins are the only class that can fulfill all rules of this game,Why do blizzard buff them so much like that ?
Secondly,"What was the situation when their was an absence of paladins in the horde (Before burning crusade)?...I mean in instances and pvps (Battle grounds).
Thirdly and finally...Do all this have a relation with being (Paladins) the christian warriors ?

Druids.....Yeah,They can do but in different forms.
Paladins can do in one time....A retradin can heal with a spell power = 30% of his attack power (As an example).

1-Paladins are more effec. than druids since their buffs and blessings (Specially B.O.k with a 300 stamina to a t7 warrior !),A Tankadin can remove poisons in instances while tanking (As an example).
2-I find it difficult to believe that domination of shamans among Paladins...For alot of reasons.
3-Paladin is a latin word referring to the hill of "palatinus" which holds the headquarters of the Templars (Knight templars) who are the crusades sparkers so i find it quiet difficult too to believe what you just said "Holy is not the same as Christian. (and as non christian i find any claim otherwise insulting)"

Just a brief comment on Holy-Christian topic. Holy can be a term used in any religion, as can crusader etc. History has used these terms more commonly in the Christian religion though, which may have mislead you to believing it was all Christian. The fact is, that a "crusade" can be waged for or against anything and by any group or religion.
pal·a·din (pl-dn)
NOUN:
A paragon of chivalry; a heroic champion.
A strong supporter or defender of a cause: "the paladin of plain speaking" (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.).
Any of the 12 peers of Charlemagne's court.
The modern world has many different definitions for words and is not always the same as the origins.
Anyway, I would like to say that the Pally is a great tanking class in 3.0, but, the Drood is a very good healer in 3.0, and both can perform any role. Holy pallies are having alot of trouble, unless the person is very well geared and/pr very skilled, in alot of instances in Wrath. I am sure the changes in the patch will help this though, but that's just bringing the holy pally up to speed of the other classes, not to make them better.
That said, I am still being put into the OT role alot because of adds in alot of fights and we don't have another pally tank for the ease of consacrate, so, although I can still MT, I am being used for OTing purposes alot. :(

Gift of the Wild, while perhaps not as potent as Blessing of Kings, is a worthy buff - especially since Druids don't have to spend 5 talent points to get the full ability.
2-I find it difficult to believe that domination of shamans among Paladins...For alot of reasons.
Paladins are prone to interrupts. I can speak from experience in both BGs and and Arena: The combination of ranged casting power, as well as kiting ability and short-cooldown interrupts, makes Shamans a difficult foe. A Paladin's armor does nothing against a Lightning Bolt.
It should be noted that Blizzard has admitted, prior to the cross-pollenization of Paladins and Shamans between Alliance and Horde, that the two were meant to be counter-classes for one another in combat.

The concept of someone or something "holy" existed long before a carpenter lectured about loaves, fishes, and love. Your etymological example is, in fact, incorrect even when looking back to Latin; the word existed prior to it being used to describe the Knights of the Crusade, coming from a Latin term meaning "palace official" or "of the palace".
Oh, and just as a note (and I don't claim this as whole evidence): A quick Google search on the word "palatinus" reveals that this word refers primarily to "Palatinus Mons", the centermost of the seven hills upon which Rome was founded.

Paladins are considered holy warriors, or "divine" warriors. Where they got their divine power is from "God". Which religion is irrelivant. Never, will any MMO or RPG claim God or the bible in any part of their lore. That would bring about a big can of worms. But, the origin of the "paladin" came from religious wars. They came about around the crusading era, and were typically roman catholic tho. This being where the "palatinus" root came from.
Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but holy "power" came from the belief in "God". This came about with the bible, and all the hell religious wars put the world thru created "holy warriors" to bring "belief" and "faith" back to the repressed, starved, and neglected, giving them hope in the bible and it's stated religion's teachings to keep the population from going into chaos.
If you want to believe it has nothing to do with religion, that's up to you.

Why then there is a church...Sorry,I mean cathedral standing in stormwind if Paladins has no relation to christianity ?

c'mon, don't repeat-troll your own thread, that's amateur, you know better than that. :P
Let's remember that history is rarely cause-and-effect -- hands up if you think history multiple-choice tests are stupid. The Christianity topic is interesting, but I feel it is an unanswerable one -- at least, at this level.
However, keeping in mind the whole, you know, WoW forum thing...Druids, anyone? And a ret pally w/ 30% AP --> SP is certainly NOT healing MY Tankadin.
A Druid can do things, but in different forms...yes, true...good...so? I'll take a Shapeshift cooldown over a complete mid-combat armor switch any day(...since, you know, that's not really...yeah). However, WoW Law remains true: A hybrid class, like a Paladin or Druid, requires a full spec and gear commitment to perform at a competitive level. I.E., my raid healer isn't Feral.

Neither church or cathedral implies Christianity, nor are they Christian specific words.

Churches and Cathedrals that are thought of as "Christian" are only thought of as such because of the time and place that Christianity got popular. It gained popularity along side architecture that looked like that. Most religions have houses or sacred places of worship that resemble the architecture of the culture. Since the architecture of Stormwind is similar to Renaissance western Europe, the cathedral looks like one that most people would assume to be "Christian." This assumption is inaccurate and incorrect however.
If you know the lore behind paladins, they don't really worship the light, I don't believe. Also the light doesn't have a personality, isn't a person as Christians believe their God to be. The two are very different.
As far as how powerful paladins are and were, pre-BC, paladins were a very weak class. They were unable to heal well, and unable to tank or DPS at all. Our main roles were healing a little, buffing, and dispel. Shaman were good healers, decent buffers (though not as strong as paladins in large raids) and good DPS. A paladin character can fulfill any role of the game, but not without and trip to a trainer to respec, and putting in the work to collect gear for any desired roll. I have healed and DPSed, but I had to gather twice as much gear and spend money on respecs that a rogue or mage wouldn't have.

It's a non-theistic religious form of philosophy.
