My most epic loot was when I went to Gruuls in a PuG, I'd dinged 70 just 3 days ago and I was a mage and had only 600 spell damage. He'd just been buffed slightly after the big nerf but we had a pretty good group. I had already gotten the T4 head and chest item and I was feeling lucky. On the first boss I rolled and got around 76, the others rolled and they all hit lower, I had won! We got to Gruul himself, we killed him, I was surprised that I hadnt died while killing him, I went over to loot him for my BoJ and he had dropped the mage T4. I rolled and hit around 88. I had beaten the rolls before me, then someone rolled and got over 90, but that was Ok, because I still had the second highest roll, and Gruul had dropped the Mage T4 twice! I was bragging to my guild all week about how I had won two T4 in the same raid, it was epic!...
The most epic drop ive ever gotten was two, the first i was running kara with a bunch of friends and i got to roll on a sword of wizardry, you know the one that increases your spell haste by crazy.. yes and as a destro/demo lock it was awesome, even after they implemented spell haste to remove global cooldown it was sick as affliction too.. The other and still to this day as a level 76 in the expansion lock, full demo metamorphoses and destro shadow burn, ruin... i still use the robe of elderly scribes, from nightbane, you know the one that inceases spell dmg by 150, with all the perks i get to 1875 spell dmg, trinket and everything, and i push for about 7k with my soulfire... it is by far the most useful and EPIC drop i have gotten...DaemonisAegwynn
Of all things, a 15 Pound Mud Snapper I got yesterday. Last requirement of my Salty title, took over 4k casts over the last week. RNG is random (and apparently I said something bad about its mother).
Epic moment:Leveling from 33 to 39 in one day(real-time, not played time).
.. was when my time card ended on our first Illidan kill at 5% while I was main tank.
Most epic loot, indirectly, was a member of my very first raid group signing on to a realm we had recently transfered to, thanking me.After raiding Molten Core/Blackwing Lair with me for an eternity back in the day we received two Bindings of the Windseeker from Garr, none from Geddon. One for our Maintank, one for him (a rogue)Now, three years later, he logs on to our new realm to thank me for giving him that binding as he had just acquired the second one with Wrath around the corner, in his, what do I know 100th Molten Core run, never seeing the Garr Binding in any run after he received it from me.Thinking of that, I always tend to try and imagine a time in which the legendaries still dropped from bosses in MC (Talisman of Binding Shard - remember that? ;p)
My most epic drop was me getting epic dropped on my old warlock in WSG.I've met a lot of players over the years, some good, some bad, many horrible. But several people have just left me awe-struck at their badassness. I was doing a WSG at 70 one time on my Warlock, and I was chasing this mediocre geared warrior. He was at maybe 25% health, and I was good to go, so by all means he was mine.I was in the enemy base, and he had just ran through the graveyard, and I was afraid I was going to lose him, so I throw out a deathcoil to give me time to catch him.As the coil loosed from my fingers, the warrior, in one fluid, flawless motion, he jumped high off the cliff, spun 180 degrees, switched into Defensive Stance, and threw up Spell Reflect in time to reflect my bloody Death Coil back at me.As the Coil flew back at me, still falling off the edge of the cliff...he freaking winked at me.I've never been so humbled. If he had that owned card I would have happily let him kill me and plant it in my corpse.
