Well I spent two days in Ironforge getting ganked by guards five levels above me and the occasional skulled thief catcher. Tried in the mystic pool where a rogue camped me for four hours. Tried in the small pool nearby where it was impossible to fish without constantly moving to avoid guard patrols. Finally I settled on the Great Forge's lava wheel with the invisible ledge. Spent my entire weekend there and 1600 catches and one "OMFG" later I had Old Ironjaw
Just last night, after doing Loatheb. Was so annoying to cast 1-3 heals every 15 seconds for 4 seconds. But i figured after wiping so much on Heigan the Unclean that it cant be as bad as that so i stood there for the 3 wipes on Loatheb and kept going through that trash every time to get back to him. I mean if we wiped at Heigan like 20 times, im sure we can stay a few more or Loatheb. Then he dropped, and teh T7 Pally, Priest, Warlock Shoulders. I was so happy and rolled a 73 and won against three other rolls.
I gotta say, the most epic loot I ever got was when me and a friend Solo'd Onyxia soon after Wrath came out, and we split the 175 gold and, like, ten epics. I wound up with the helms from Warlock, hunter, and Paladin Tier 2, along with the Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire, and the head of Onyxia, just plant it in Orgrimmar and stare at the thing.
The most epic drop that I've ever got was actually an epic drop: . I was leveling in EPL, then I've got to a really annoying part of a quest chain. I went to grind those mobs, then a 5 man group started to grind them too. It was really annoying since this quest takes alot of time by itself. They even started to spam me. I was so upset that I was about to log out, then a banshee attacked me. I've said this to myself: "Okay, I'll kill this last one then". Then the item dropped! I was really happy, because it was worth 600-800g. Then I've gifted it away to my friend. His delight really made my day. :D Please forgive me for my grammar mistakes, I was so stupid that I didn't save the text before I made the post and my Internet impaled this banner through my body, and I had to start it all over again. Thank you for your time reading my comment!
I like the broken I.W.I.N. button in AV :)
My favorite "drop" was probably the Sinister Squashling, mostly because it was the item that got me the Hallowed be Thy Name achievement.
While questing in the Barrens, some random centaur dropped Recipe: Savory Deviate Delight. I just so happened to be a cook and fisher. When I made my first delight, it appeared as if it had killed me. I was shocked and mortified. I just as quickly discovered it was just a feign death. Epic moments.
