I'd have to say the most Epic drop for me... is a toss-up between Stormrage Legguards and the Will of Arlokk. After months and months of progressing through MC, picking up what pieces of Cenarion were actually upgrades vs ZG gear, and countless attempts at killing Rag, we -finally- managed to snuff out his flame, with 39 people no less... The anticipation as we rezzed up the 1/3 of the raid that died was killing us, especially with it being our first kill. With a very noticable "Oh my.." from our guild master, our rewards flashed in Raid Warning, and voila, our first sets of Tier 2 pants: Wrath and Stormrage. I almost went through the roof, because I knew those pants were mine since I'd been saving DKP for them. 3 months later, I finally got the Will of Arlokk, after just about every other druid and priest in guild had it, and I'd been working every other time it dropped... Now that I think about it, I'd really have to say the pants win out, that night was truly epic.I can't help but chuckle at the amount of BC and even Wrath stories being posted, but that's not to say there's anything less epic about them compared to Vanilla WoW stories, just amusing to me.
a couple months ago i was doing Kara with my guildies did it 3 times and i won a green it was pretty epic for my luck
When I was leveling on my mage alt and talking to my friend saying how I never seen an epic world drop yet. Two kills after I said that, Dazzling Longsword drops off a Starving Blisterpaw in Tanaris.
When I got my don Carlos hat was a pretty epic moment for me lol. I always wanted one since the first time I saw someone with it and it took me a while to find some strong peeps but that sat night when it happend...ooh yeah! lol
Id have to say one of the most epic pieces of loot ive ever gotten would have to be the tear stained handkerchief.I was toolin around on my mount in AV and found a hunter killing rams, so I went and killed him and looted his corpse only to find that item. I linked it in my guild chat and said "Guys, I hate to say it but those arent tear stains on that..." and was rewarded with many lolz and ewws.
In a "most epic loot I never saw" story, I must've run Karazhan at least 100 times and never saw Light's Justice for my paladin. I saw it once on my rogue but never again. I wasn't in a raiding guild and I liked the look of LJ, so that was what I was aiming for.
On my old EU account I played a warrior. I didn't realy have time to raid back then and my PvP dreams quickly died out because of the nature of that horrible grind. I was mostly hangin' around with my blue valor, but I had a dream - The Arcanite Reaper. Ever since I saw that axe I wanted it.I was a blacksmith and used my little rogue for god knows how many hours farming the rare guy in LBRS for the plans but they never droped. Still I got lucky and a friend of mine hooked me up with it real cheap. Phase 1 was over !With renewed determination I proceded to phase 2. For days I circled around Un'Goro for Rich Thorium and hoping for a Crystal on each vein. With patience I had all the mats and behold ! There it was in my hands - my brand new spanking shining Arcanite Reaper. An iconic weapon of the early days.Ofcoarse the time of that axe had already passed but still I was realy proud with myself and people still stoped and said "Oh, and Arcanite Reaper, cool."That was probably the most epic item for me ever.
Way way way back when the game was in its infancy, my warlock had just hit level 25 and it was time to start thinking about the Robes of Arcana, for my special warlock robes. Yeah... Heading deep into enemy territory to farm a really low drop rate (or so I thought) at the time was a great feeling. After four hours of being beaten on by alliance and mobs, I finally had the pattern drop! That baby made me quite a bit of gold, I was one of the few on Illidan that could make it. Oh what times.
I would say I have three most epic loot drops. The first would be my Terestian's Stranglestaff on my main, a Tauren Druid. It dropped on the last Kara I did before Wrath came out, and I was so excited, because I had been waiting for it to drop ever since I started running Kara. The second would be my Tiny Crimson Whelpling. My boyfriend helped me farm for it, and it dropped after only about 30min. I was so happy and excited, because I had been wanting one ever since I learned about them, which was about a year after the game came out. I knew the drop rate was terrible, and was ready to head out there every day to farm until I got it, so it was very exciting when it dropped so quickly. And the third has to be my boyfriend. :D
