ok, so once again for 0/41/30 lock:
hit > spell dmg > crit > haste > spirit, right?
and should not have more than 448 hit, right?
Hit (till cap) > spell damage > crit > haste > spirit.
There is some debate over the way blizzard rounds, but the accepted hard cap for hit is 446, not 448.

In wotlk 370 is 14% +3% from talent. Crit = 55 = 1% and haste I dont know but i think its like 45 or close to it. Crit I dont worry bout because with frost mage and a ele shammy u are good on crit with a +10% from forst mages their spells apply a +2% crit chance for spells stacking 5 times and the ele shammy totem of wrath is +3% crit with like 300 spell power. Haste is good but u go oom fast and tapping is sometimes dangerous in Heroic dungions and Raids because alot of the bosses do aoe which hit from 9-12k. Alot of wotlk gear has either haste and spell bonus or crit and spell bonus or sometimes both. I am currently dest spec and doing from 2200-3200 dps on bosses.

No offense but I don't see what you are trying to do with this post..... you've given approximate numbers (which are wrong....) and some information that I'm not sure where you're going with.
you have a nicely geared toon though, the soulblade is impressive! Why on earth you have 407 +hit stacked when you could have a considerable amount of that invested in dmg/crit/haste, i do not know!

Unfortunately, haste does NOT increase DoT tick speed.
thanks, was a typo/mental fart/idiot moment. Blizzard actually posted at one stage (and now i can't bloody find it) that they couldn't allow dots to scale with haste because of balance issues, in their opinion the aff lock was already as powerful as they could let it become.

Good sticky!
Just got one single comment. Please remove the part about "The relative worth of stats". The numbers are incorrect regardless of what specc you are looking at. If you should choose to keep it, please link to simulationcraft so people can see the huge difference you´re specc has on those numbers.
But my advice is to totally remove it since simulationcraft isn´t the most reliable site to take raw data from, but that´s another story :)
Anyways, good job! Hope all new raiders read this through before starting raiding.
I agree entirely with you regarding the fact that the numbers are no where near exact, and will change a LOT depending on your spec and gear - but i think its worth keeping anyway. I've tried to make it very clear that the relative worth is fluid, but despite this, there are some general rules and displaying the approximate relative worth is valuable i think.
Most people don't realise that +hit is over twice as valuable as +crit, they know its better but have no idea by just how much. I think its worth leaving the numbers in there simply to get that across.

regarding the stat values, they are very fluid and the values change depending on a lot of factors but you'd be very surprised how little they change as ratios, relative to each other. it's also surprising how little they change from spec to spec (you'd think this would be the biggest change ie, crit being far more important for destro etc).
example:
destro
crit_rating=0.71 haste_rating=1.05 hit_rating=1.99 intellect=0.39 spell_power=1.63 spirit=0.49 stamina=0.00
aff
crit_rating=0.66 haste_rating=0.98 hit_rating=1.56 intellect=0.32 spell_power=1.46 spirit=0.47 stamina=0.00
crit is worth more but not a ton more.
also interesting is how _all_ stats are worth more for destro. this suggests to me that destro will scale much better as gear improves. and sadly
this
suggests a trend towards what we saw in BC when 21/40 becoming so ubiquitous.
all that said, take the actual numbers with a BIG grain of salt. relative values (ratios) are the most important thing to take from these simulationcraft parses. i think irharry explained that well in the original post.

regarding green/white writing, items with +dmg and +crit in white writing were added with tBC. previously green quality items were just "...of the " and would have base stats only (eg. eagle = stam and int)
with BC new "...of the " items were added which had stats traditionally in green writing in white and counting as the item's basic stats not bonuses.
there's no great significance and no difference in the way these items affect your stats. you just have more options for green quality gear.
in northrend there's no reason to ever wear any of these items as quest and instance drops will always be better and they're plentiful.
regarding pvp gear, i'm no PvPer but while levelling just favour stam more than you otherwise might. at max level resilience becomes very important.

spell hit all follows the same rules yes. melee behaves differently.

^^ We're lucky, 17% miss chance across the board for all spells
edit - for bosses that is
.
Melee gets it rough.... their +hit conversion is worse, they get dual wield penalties, etc etc. Sucks to be them :)
At least blizz has fixed the issues shammies and pallies had, dealing both melee and spell damage used to be...... troublesome when it acme to stacking hit :")

your hit table looks like this...
Level Difference -- PvE -- PvP
- 4 -- 100% -- 100%
- 3 -- 99% -- 99%
- 2 -- 98% -- 98%
- 1 -- 97% -- 97%
0 -- 96% -- 96%
+ 1 --- 95% -- 95%
+ 2 -- 94% -- 94%
+ 3 -- 83% -- 87%
+ 4 -- 72% -- 80%
+ 5 -- 61% -- 73%
Tables are sucky pants to reproduce here, but the first column is the mob/boss/players relative level to you, the second columm is your chance to hit in pvp, and the third column is your chance to hit in pvp.
All heroic bosses are level 82, so you have a 6% chance to miss them.
Thats 158 +hit.
