QuestHelper is CONSTANTLY optimizing your route and searching for your objectives, and if you track the memory it is using, you will notice this after a few hours of play. It plans every quest you have in a row and really creates awesome routes in my opinion. QuestHelper sometimes caused some confusion for me as it was unclear sometimes just how far some mobs spawned.
Carbonite is just pointing you to the closest thing, which may lead to other close things if you are lucky, and you will get quests done this way too. An upside carbonite has is that you are never questioning if you are in the right area. It has the areas highlighted on a map for you.
I am currently using Carbonite. It gets the job done and saves MUCH more memory, which is important if you have a computer with 2g of RAM or less.

I started with QH and it was nice enough, but my brother stumbled across carbonite when QH pooped out on him and he turned me onto it. I didn't like it at first but once you adjust it's the best and if you BG as much as I do you can't beat that mini map with all the caps and teammates displayed right there.
P.S. I do miss the flight timer too but if you gotta fly somewhere your going there no matter how long it takes so it was more of a perk then a deciding factor for me.

I don't see the purpose of these addons. Quests are easy, always been easy, if your only objective in the game is to get to 80 with best equ while not enjoying the process of getting there, then you might as well go buy a character on ebay, or just make your own server and edit yourself a character (I think you can do that). I can understand alot of UI addons. But some addons pretty much take the playing out of the game. Oh well, thats just the way I see it.
Quoted for truth.
The way I see it, addons such as QuestHelper virtually play the game for you, telling you where to go and what to do. The only different between QuestHelper and a botting program is that QuestHelper, instead of sending the information to do what's needed to a program, it sends it to you.
There really is NO excuse for such utter laziness. I hope the collective userbase of all "play the game for me plz" addons dies in a fire.
Also, I wish Blizzard would police its capability for addons. They don't slave countless hours, days, weeks and months creating content such as quests just for you to minimize your interaction with said content.
Addons like that turn the game from immersive to reactive.
You guys
are the cancer killing the World of Warcraft player base.
LOL
I have had lots of quests that have bad instructions or none.
Like go kill 10 murlocs ummmm and where are the murlocs?
Some people don't enjoy leveling there are lots of parts to the game and some people don't enjoy them all.
