Ok. Personally I HATE the level cap being raised to 80. I guess it's natural being I've been 70 for nearly a week. However, raising the level cap to 80 makes it harder to make alts...
...I can only pray they do not once again raise the level cap. I believe in expanding lore and etc instead of raising the cap. Make instances that will be hard unless you have appropriate armor etc. For example, Guild Wars made a expansion that was successful without raising level cap. Why doesn't Blizzard learn.
Well, I feel your pain. When BC came out I'd just gotten my first toon, a Warrior, to Level 60. I never got the chance to do much with him with regards to raiding or doing End Game stuff because the race was on to hit 70. What is probably going to happen to you is that you won't experience End Game much because once WOTLK hits it'll be hard to find groups for Level 70 instances, heroics, raids and improve your gear because everyone will be off in Northrend looking to get to 80 and you'll be wanting to do the same. Outlands will basically be filled with tons of Death Knights.."LF Healer, have 4 DKs...." ;)
But is it all that bad? They'll be better gear to be had once you start leveling and new places to explore and it won't take long and you'll be at End Game and doing what you would've been doing had there not been an expansion. Yes, there will be negatives but there are many positive things as well. When BC came out I had the one 60 but since then I've leveled three more to 70 and done a lot with them and that was WITHOUT the decreased XP in the 1-70 levels. Two of my 70s are in full epics and one is a work in a progress (I've since shelved the Warrior because tanking isn't my thing) and I'm looking forward to moving on. If I had an alt I was leveling I'd be glad for the decreased XP and you can still enjoy a lot of the game.
For myself, I have very little interest in starting a new alt so I don't care much about that aspect. I have a few lower level toons in Azeroth that I play when I'm bored with doing dailies and running dungeons with my 70s and I don't see making any new ones anytime soon. When I was leveling my current 70s I enjoyed playing them in the Old World. It was hard to find groups for the lower level dungeons and the same will happen in Outlands but that's just part of the game and I don't think nothing much can be done.
One thing I feel that can be done is to prevent anyone more than 10 levels higher than the dungeon level from coming in. That would prevent "Run Thrus" and force people to group up their lower level toons if they want to go into dungeons. But the sad fact is that people just want to level up fast now and are in all likelihood going to skip the dungeons in order to do so. That's why Blizzard made it easier and faster to solo play your lower level toons. You don't need to go into dungeons or kill elites to level up in the lower levels.
Keeping the cap at 70 would indeed unbalance the game where you would have 70s in Tier 10 armor running around on one hand and someone like yourself in greens on the other. Seems kinda silly IMO. Blizzard has been adding new content all along. There's been daily quests and expanded areas and new dungeons and all sorts of things since BC came out. To keep doing that sort of thing and not raise the cap would get old fast. Many people, myself included, enjoy the challenge of leveling in new areas and want to start in again. I think Blizzard recognizes this and that's why they keep raising the level cap, because it gives people new goals and challenges to accept. A game that is boring is actually worse than a game that is too difficult.

Also, I use no add-ons. Add-ons ruin the game, they are for mindless idiots who can't do things theirselves. Read the quest log, and you'll see where to go, DUH.
You must be talking about Quest Helper. I've never used it but I will say that certain Add-ons are very helpful to game-play, especially if you raid. As a healer, Healbot is a necessity. Decursive is very handy and for the Paladin, things like Pally Power makes life easier. For DPS, things like Recount gives you a sense of how you are doing compared to everyone else, what spells or attacks are more effective, etc. For my Warlock, Dotimer and Necrosis help me keep an eye on things and make me more effective in a raid and help the guild progress in our raiding. This is neither "mindless" or "idiotic" it just makes things easier for a group of people to play and progress in reaching their goals together.
Sounds like you need to be more accepting to new things. Trying new stuff can sometimes be a good thing. I understand not wanting to change, that is my first instinct too but if you keep an open mind you'll have more fun. :)

As the lvl cap goes up drop the xp needed to lvl. This way it don't take a month to hit 100 when the next few xpacks come out.
I don't know 20-__ is half of what it is now. much easier to lvl and not so much QQ on the hardness.
The reason it droped by 33% was to help aleviate it.

Have you actually used any add ons for raiding? If you've just hit 70 chances are you haven't raided much. Do you use vent? That could be considered an add on and it does facilitate communication much better than typing in things during a fight.
If you are a healer and have 10 people in your raid party then Healbot isn't an option..it's a necessity. I don't want a healer in my raid that doesn't have it. Period. Things like threat meters help make the DPSers aware of what they are doing with regards to pulling aggro off the tank and help keep the party alive and things moving along. Multiple wipes tend to discourage people and end a raid quickly. Adds like Deadly Boss Mods or Big Wigs help the Lead Raider communicate what's going on with the raid and make things move along more smoothly. Damage/Healing meters give an idea to the individual on what they can do to make themselves play better and tell the Raid Leader who is doing what and what or who can be improved. Why is that is bad? Anything that makes gameplay and raiding more effective is a good thing.
If you choose not to use Quest Helper or Cartographer because you feel these are "Cheater Mods" that is your choice but as a newly minted 70 you need to keep your mind open if you thinking about doing any serious raiding with regards to Add ons. There are lots of different add-ons out there that can actually make gameplay more enjoyable and they can be disabled or turned on whenever you want. Don't smear an entire group of players who choose to make use of them, especially if you haven't tried them at all.
Man, I'm sorry for the serious thread drift. Good luck in your journey to Northrend. :)

I know there will be items that you can send to characters across your account that increase exp gained, but they aren't really easy to get. But regardless, it's not a good idea to raise level cap. Expand the lore and introduce new gear, never raise the level cap.
What's even worse is that Blizzard said there will be MORE expansions. I have no problem with this. They also said there will be a new hero class per expansion, still pretty cool. Althought more classes will be hard since most things have been covered. Here's the bad part, will they be raising the level cap again? If they do I will go mad.
I can only pray they do not once again raise the level cap. I believe in expanding lore and etc instead of raising the cap. Make instances that will be hard unless you have appropriate armor etc. For example,

That is why guild wars 2 will have no level cap, or from what iv heard.

I disagree. I'd prefer a game based more on skill then gear.
All gear creates is greed. People arguing over gear. Who should get what etc.
If they just increased the level cap by say 5 levels every 4 months or something, that would be very interesting.
Leveling alts nowadays is not hard.
