to those who want an in game memorial I believe there is an elder in thunder bluff during the lunar festival
Elder Ezra Wheathoof
Yes, that was added to honor Ezra. And as I mentioned earlier, Ahab Wheathoof (on the bridge south of Thunder Bluff) is voiced by Ezra - unless they removed him? I thought he was still there the last time I ran by.
The only Elder I have ever taken a screenie with is Ezra's memorial Elder, and he stayed as my background until Lunar Festival was over. You don't get to do his quest as an Alli, but I still make it a point to /salute Ahab Wheathoof when going into Mulgore to explore or do a World Event.

Ok found it. Here is a post by his Mom saying his Dad plays the character sometimes, naturally to help with the grieving process

How does this help with the grieving process? Doing that just seems wrong to me.
I take it you've never lost someone really close to you. Sometimes, people try to reconnect with positive memories by doing certain things that remind them of the person they lost. When I was twelve, my Dad died of cancer (I'm 36 now, so it was quite some time ago). I remember going to my Dad's closet before everything was taken away, and just putting on his shoes. It wasn't anything special, but they were the shoes he always worked in. They reminded me of him. In a way, it's no different than the person that visits a loved one's gravesite and puts fresh flowers on it. It's a way of greiving, of remembering, of celebrating the life of the loved one. Different people mourn and remember in different ways. Perhaps Ezra's dad remembered that his character made him happy during his treatment, and playing the character helps his dad replay the memory of those happy times.
Who are you to judge him for that?
I've actually lost 2 cousins, 3 grandparents (a 4th soon...) and an aunt, so I know what I am talking about. All but one of the grandparents to cancer, too.
I feel like it would be more respectful to leave his account as it was when he passed away. The examples you've made aren't the same as using your dead son's WoW account. I see your point, but I would've assumed that when he was put to rest, his character, which he clearly cherished dearly, would be too.

Isn't the Tauren by the bridge in Bloodhoof Village another Make-A-Wish foundation kid?
R.I.P. Ezra
Based off the same kid iirc the pretty sure they used his voice as well for the little quest he gives

Will you go away with your bad grammar key stealing?
While it's incredibly funny and serves no purpose other than too hack curious users and get trolled for its bad spelling, it really isn't right to put it in a thread that's dedicated to a boy who's life was stolen by a brain tumor.

I always salute and kneel before the quest giver near the Tauren start zone. I know. Lot of people and other kids die. But this little fellow shared with me, and us, the love for the game. He kept playing until the end. And there's that little Tauren with his voice in the game that remains.
And our memory of him. Too bad you can't play Wow from heaven little fella.
Cherish life guys and girls. It's short.
