A little while ago when I was lvling my rogue(63), that harvest fest thing was going on where you had to go to Uther's tomb to lay a tribute item.
Well, a level 25 Guildie who wanted to do it but couldnt get close enough due to aggro wanted to do it so I went up there to walk him to it, he had gotten himself pretty deep into WPL trying to take a round about approach so I link up with him near one of those cauldron farms and we start for the tomb.
Now on my server the Horde thought it good fun to kill the Nelf NPC outside the tomb I guess thinking it an insult to us. Whatever. We get to the tomb and I'm stealthed just in case she gets attacked again when this lvl 53 UD lock shows up to pay his own respects and proceeds to attack my little druid friend. Well he was in for a bit of a shock when I jump outta the shadows and use him as a pin cushion. He never got one spell off. He must have spirit raised because we never saw him again, both being stealthed at this point.

Fail by me.
Lvl 62 Blood Elf pally... I Mutilate and get him to 100 health, and he proceeds to bubble hearth.
And fail on me.
In a group for HHM and waiting for ppl to come to SM, and I see some hordies running through (flagged) so I proceed to camp. Just like always happened to me. So they get their s4 mage friend to come and kill me, who is in blues from just dinging 70. I CoS and triple Mutilate crit (plus about 2k from poisons that procced on each hit) the mage before he gets one spell off. Dead undead. (Pun?)

Mine was actually this evening.
I (70 warrior) was flying around HFP looking for fel iron when i see a horde just hovering on his flying mount right above the creatures that kinda look like skettis (unsure of what they really are). there is a 61 alliance rogue there as well. i pay no real attention to them because the horde is Flagged AFK and im a warrior with no real ranged ability.. just as i decide its not worth my time i see a tiny little knife get thrown from the rogue... and then again... and again. i realize this 61 rogue is useing his thrown weapon to kill a 70 horde priest, who had much better gear then i did. i quickly flew in next to the rogue and used my thrown weapon as well. after about 3-4 minutes of throwning, the horde finaly falls to the ground and we both ROFL!

Not sure this is a failgank, though my erstwhile opponent was trying to turn it into one...
I was grinding ogres near the southern end of Nagrand when a human warrior (we're both 70s) flies down from Telaar, flags up, and starts standing on ogre bodies and /chicken'ing. After about 15 minutes of ignoring him and looting my ogres all the same (really guys, pick something smaller than an ogre, there's a lot of it to loot that's not where you're standing), he decides to start killing ogres while my voidwalker is on the way to tag them.
So, I figured, what the hell, he wants a fight, he gets a fight. I turn towards him, pop fear (which he does not break: someone hasn't pvp'd much), dot him up, and burn him down with shadow bolts before the first fear even wore off.
Then he came back... so I did it again!

Not technically ganking, but after my guild successfully attacked Darnassus we were running out and leaving. Unfortunately my undead Arms warrior, in a mix of s2 and s3 gear, died just before we escaped and after rezzing at the spirit healer I raced through Darnassus to get to the portal down to the ship, where my guild were waiting.
Just as I get there, a dwarf warrior in seemingly similar gear sees me and starts chasing. I have half health and suffering from rez sickness, he's full health and not happy I've killed a faction leader.
He chases me right down to the docks - all the guards are dead, killed to clear me a path by guildies - and the rest of my mates are on the boat, screaming at me to hurry up. The dwarf is still chasing after me, smelling the easy kill. Just as I get to the end of the pier and the boat is pulling away, I leap... and smack into the side, crashing into the water. One swift /lol from the Dwarf and he follows me in. By now, I've changed into my T5 prot gear (<3 outfitter) and bandaged although I still have rez sickness, but I have a plan... I swim down, as deep as I can possibly go and the dwarf follows. Underwater, we start to fight - I disarm, shield block, thunderclap, shield wall... anything I can do to mitigate the incoming damage. All the while I am backing off and getting deeper and deeper, but it's not good, I'm easy meat and I'm soon down to my last few hundred HP. With my last click I manage to get a hamstring off. The dwarf /lols again at my corpse, but at the point I can imagine the look on his face when realisation dawns. Undead can breath underwater for three minutes. Dwarfs can't. He starts swimming to the surface as fast as he possibly can, stumpy little legs pumping as hard as possible. He is less than a yard from the surface when he drowns.
I caught the whole thing on FRAPS, and the Vent soundtrack is priceless. It's also the only occasion where I then created a level 1 alliance character to /gloat at the person who died :o)

Another comedy session was during the recent Brewfest boss, before people had managed to loot the remote.
About half a dozen of my guild are fairly hardcore PvPers (it's a PvE realm) so we all log our druids/rogues and head down to Blackrock Mountain.
One guy, known for multiboxing, logs in a level 50ish warrior, sits him down at the top of the chains leading to BRD and turns PvP on and sets him to be AFK.
We all enable stealth and hide behind pillars, just to be sure.
Sure enough, the first party of 70s arrive, Alliance nubs looking for easy loot, and the allure of a level 50 AFK horde player is too much. They all open up and kill him rather quickly but before they know what's happening, they're pounced/sapped and nuked inside 10 seconds. The lowbie is resurrected and the game begins again.
We must have been there for an hour - the funniest part were the groups who we killed three or four times in a row, they seemingly didn't understand what was going on. Proof that Horde > Alliance if ever it were needed ;o)

mine happened yesterday and boy was fun and embarrasing T_T
i was riding my raptor, looking for ore mines in Hellfire peninsula, was traveling from Falcon watch to the Stadium and under one of those bridges, a lv 60 NE druid was standing still and a evil idea crossed my mind LOL "ohh just the perfect toy for my Ghost!" (Ghost is my ghost Saber :P) so I attacked that poor and hopeless NE but sudendly 2 more lv 60 druids, and a lv 64 rogue and a 64 Warrior (all NE :( ) came out of nowere and they took turns to stun me while the rest spamed all they arsenal in my poor PET and in myself xD
they camped me for like 30 min, and they killed me 4 times
i guess the hunter became the prey x_X

During my Tauren Druid's early 50s, I was up in Winterspring farming yeti for leather. I'd been doing this for a couple hours, and was getting kind of bored, so I wasn't really watching my health too much. Out of pretty much nowhere this Draeni Shaman comes after me, I think he was two levels higher than me. I was at half health, he was at full, and it was on.
I put a rip on the target that I was fighting, then turned and focused on the new enemy, stomping and trying to heal, then bear bash and another heal, but he trinketed out of the bash and kept pounding on me. Switched to cat form and tried to get away, but it was no use, I was just about to die...
DING!
Hello 100% health, hello 100% energy, hello new level.
I then proceeded to introduce the poor sap to the inside of my belly. NOM NOM NOM
