Is there a reason people keep putting points in the Elemental Weapons talent? I know that the +spell damage plays a role in Flametongue Weapon but when do you even use it? Isn't the point of elemental Shaman supposed to be to use spells, not melee?
Because Flametongue gives a buff to spelldamage. Increasing that buff means increasing spelldamage, which is quite essential to an elemental shaman. It's a really useful talent actually.

Edit: Crap haha, I didin't realize that there was a second page now and gave the reason, but the math is...
3/3 Elemental Weapons thats so you get 63.3 more spell damage. Meaning a total of 274.3 spell damage from Flametongue Weapon. (At level 80 that is)

I doubt Wizard Oil is going to be buffed so much, so one should expect Flametongue to be quite the superior choice - as it should be. :)

Ah yes the good ol' Totem of Wrath. I will actaully use this now, haha. Plus it increases the critical strike chance of spells by 3%. Keep in mind this totem only lasts 2 mins. If you havent noticed a majority of the common totems we use has increased to 5 mins now.
If anyone wants to see it:

I prefer this one. Read what stoneclaw totemd does in WotLK.

I would take the points from Elemental Devastation, and remove them before anyone notices, first of all ;)
About Stoneclaw Totem, I guess it's only useful in PvP, and depends on how the protection-mechanism works. By best bet is that it functions like a Power Word: Shield, or it could make every other totem immune, till Stoneclaw is destroyed. It's rather interesting.

Yea Gnubigena. These 3 points might be used in call of flame, but that is based on caster´s equip.

Or, you could throw one of them in Thunderstorm, at least :)

Well, it´s true that it is hard to avoid enemies to move to you so these 3 points should be in Thunderstorms and improved fire nova totem, because the stunning is good. i did not notice that it stuns.

i have more like this i think this is the best talent tree
First of all: Horrible, HORRIBLE way of necroing a thread, for several reasons I won't even go into.
Also, why is the spec for level 75? :P
