Got some questions:
- If you get an achievement, do you have it for your account or just the character?
- What do the achievement point things actually do?
- There are some that are impossible to get if you don't start with them aren't there? (Like getting PvP ranks such as Champion etc.)
Thanks in advance :)
P.S. Sorry if any of these are common knowledge, I've been away from WoW for about a year and I was thinking of starting up again with WotLK, especially since WAR looks rubbish ;)

- Some of them are Character specific, some aren't.
- No one knows exactly what, but Blizzard told us that it will only be used for vanity things such as Non-combat pets, Titles, Tabards and who knows what more.
-Yes. Most of those are
Feasts of Strength
.

-As of now they are all character specific, Blizzard has stated that they are going to make achievements account-wide in a later patch though.
-Bragging rights, probably used for something later
-Feats of Strength, not all Feats are impossible, just very hard.

They have also stated that they would like to keep the old titles unique and have though of introducing new pvp rank titles.

I imagine the points will be used for something, since there is plenty of opportunity for blizz to continue adding achievements. I heard from an unreliable source that there might be achievement gear. not probable, imo, but cool idea. I'd settle for more non-combat pets or something little.

I have been doing the whole achievement thing, hallowed by name, jenkins, pet skunk and so on, but I was seriously hoping that the achievements would have more depth to them then just having some non combat pets, a tabard or two, and a mount. I seriously thought that the points may unlock gear, like you have so many achievement points you can buy epics, where the person who didn't do the achievments wouldn't have this option due to lack of points, or something rather than token rewards. Don't get me wrong I like doing the achivements it breaks up the boredom of doing dailies and really gets your server going on old raid instances and such which may have been Blizz's major plan but what is the purpose of building up points? Why not just post them as achievements rather than have a point system to go with it. I hope that Blizz does do something with the points.
