Who plays at high levels w/o Mods?

I was just wondering if anyone out there played in the 25 man raid instances or higher end brackets of the Arena WITHOUT the usage of any mods?
I've been a longtime user of a ton of mods. However, about 3 days ago, I deleted all of them and have been playing barebones, aside from a few Macros of course. I had been having severe FPS problems(this just cropped up too, I know it's Blizz's side too)so I ended up deleting all my mods and now got it back to where my fps is in the high 40s to 60 FPS.
I've gotten used to it. I found that my dependency on mods was not that great afterall. In fact, I have a lot more room on my screen, and a lot less memory is being consumed. I find I can live with this, but am not quite sure how I can PvP competitively without at least Nature Enemy Cast Bar /shudder
What say all of you?

Personally, I love addons but by no means do I depend on them. I knew some people back during Molten Core whom if a patch day would come around and their addons would break, it was basically a temporary end to their WoW career due to self-proclaimed (and probably true) inability to play without them. I sport a bit of a hefty UI but the majority of it isn't really combat-enhancing. It's entirely possible to play very few or even no addons, though we have to admit that there's a lot of authors out there doing far greater work in that department than Blizzard has so far. My guild leader, for instance, plays with probably 5 addons, if even, and the rest of his UI has been basically Blizz default since Alpha. He is, however, the best healer I've ever met. Addons can be excellent additions to the WoW experience but you can't get too carried away and let them do everything for you. :)

omen, for all of my needs
for everything else, i have auctioneer, used to have mass mail, etc. but i could do without it

I only use Omen and DBM, and I'd drop DBM if it wasn't a required mod by my guild.
I don't like using mods, really, and I get along fine without them usually.

I have a relatively lean line up of addons myself, but I pretty much insist on threat meters for everyone I group with. My guild has quite a few casuals and they grumble a bit, but eventually they give in and install Omen. It's just a lot easier than putting up with my pestering. As a DPSer, I like to ride the bleeding edge of aggro, and that's often difficult when you're dealing with tanks of uncertain capabilities. Sometimes I can push it hard and other times I have to throttle way back; a threat meter lets me quickly figure out which it's going to be for a given run.

I recently deleted all my ad-ons, and I can't say I miss them. Now I only use Quartz, OmniCC and Omen.

I've only got a couple I use such as Omen, OmniCC and Quartz. I could play with out them, but they help me push the limits of my character to the max.

I'm a big fan of having a lot of information available to me, so I do have a considerable amount of mods.
Mods like Pitbull and Omen offer me far more data than the default ui ever could, so I use them.
Also, I'm a bit of a snob when it come to aesthetics, so I have a few mods to make things look nice.
As far as dependency goes, I'm pretty sure I could play well without any addons, but the advantages of using them far outweigh whatever the benefits of a lack of addons would provide me.

i used to have much higher a long time ago.. like 1000+
it was stupid, since some of the addons overlapped with each other

I have mostly informational stuff, like Titan panel and Atlas/Atlasloot - And CTRaid, omen and DMGmeter. Being a healadin, I usually do all my own casting, no macros or addons or anything for that. Although I still greatly miss Decursive. Stupid blizzard.

The highest consistent DPS-dealer in our guild runs with pretty much no mods at all. The majority of the stuff I have installed is referential in some way or another. The rest is the unit frames, the cast bars and the meters.
I understand people who chose to slim down or not to slim down with addons; but, I do
not
understand people who refuse to use macros. That's just silly -- you can whip cream with a whisk but if you have an electric beater of some kind, would you use the whisk if the goal was just to get the cream whipped? It's part of the base game mechanic and it's even (now) designed to work
only
as it is intended to be used. Not using it is simply self-censoring.

I remember people who couldn't keep up with decursing/dispelling/cleansing even with the old Decursive. When some patch broke it, there was literally no doing Lucifron at all. /sigh
