0 mp5 on the balance set, but lots of Spirit?
Yay for bloating the balance tree, then forcing Moonkin to drop 13 (and when you've got that much, you might as well get OoC and MS too) points in resto. Good thing Earth and Moon and Imp FF are useless <.<

Haste and crit aren't optimal because they do
nothing
for our hots (except Flourish for some strange reason), which are still going to be a large portion of our healing.
Right, druids will probably have to balance their stats much the same way affliction warlocks do. As nice as it would be to be able to stack only +spellpower we'll need to balance HoTs with direct heals that can crit and provide a bonus when they do (from Living Seed or Nature's Grace). This is very different than what we do now but I think it'll be interesting as long as we don't see the same gear problems aff. locks currently do in the higher tiers.
Druids need higher armor to make up for their inability to parry or block. High health won't do it, because higher health doesn't make you any easier to keep healed. Only damage mitigation and avoidance does that.
Of course but with the removal of crushing blows a bear's current armor level becomes overpowered. The amount of armor needed to make up for no parry, no block, and absorb crushes is more than is needed to just make up for the lack of parry and block.
Regardless of how much armor bears will need at 80 you cannot compare these sets to the current tier 4 set because Blizzard is
removing bonus armor
as an item stat.

Do you guys honestly think Blizz does not want Druids to tank? They have proven many times since BC that they are committed to that end. They are designing the WotLK mechanics, gear and raid encounters to balance each other so that it works (when finally released).
Relax.

IMO, this is the kitty set. Not the tank set. They did mention that kitty dps will be viable as well as bear being viable for MT, if you talent for it. Throw in all the MASSIVE heals you see on you tube from the beta guys recording clips, I think there is going to be more damage moving around in WotLK, making it more healer dependant than us being able to take out full pulls in heroics with no tank.
I think what everyone isn't taking into account, is that the new mobs at 80 will be way tougher than the mobs now. I saw a flourish vid, where he was healing for 6-7k every whatever time the cd is, and once he stopped heal spamming, he was dead in 3 seconds. IMO, that's where your flaw is. You keep thinking this is going to be the same mechanics as BC, when it's actually totally reworked, and I don't even like speculating at this point, because it's pointless. From the items, and limited amount of vid's and stuff we see in the vids, we really have no clue what the content is going to change to.
You keep QQing about this and that, but the items are probably the LAST on things to do. They are working on environment and logistics first, mob ai, stuff like that. Then they will work on filling in the gear stats. On top of that, just because the gear looks one way, doesn't mean the mechanics are going to be the same. It could turn into an avoidance game, and nothing to do with armor for all we know.
IMO, this is just a waste of space. This has no relevance, and no backup to anything game play wise or stat wise. Until we know the content, and the final stats, we know NOTHING. Stop kicking the dead dog, and wait for the game to be released.

You also have to factor in new items like
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=39246
and
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=42646
(craftable) to improve our armor rating. though there still are 0 new trinkets with +armor so far so dust off your BoT.
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=42643
and even
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=34888
will jack up our armor some more.
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=39255
and
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=37084
will likely be the most sought after items for druids in the early end game.
I don't have the will power to do the math but that should be a pretty decent amount of armor considering we don't have to deal with crushes (hell the extra armor from the neck is pretty awesome). But if you work out the math from those I'm sure it should be fine.

I don't think feral will go after armor pieces with defence on it since it becomes completely useless (unless there's really nothing else).

tbh to keep high armor/hp you will have to have +defense, nothing wrong with it, it's still some dodge... though not much.

This isn't feedback tho, this is guessing. On top of that, you guys already beat this subject to a pulp.
I think all the feedback blizz needed was in the second post...
They replaced Strenght with AP ? Why ?
