yes, its happens to me too, maybe im too addicted to my mage, is my only one char.. i start leveling a priest and a warrior but i cant hold them, even thinking of them make get bored... well like you im a mage for life, more specific a FIRE mage for life... XD
i have raid, pvp, quest, professions all in this char and i dont want to change it... simply i love mages... we are so hard and weak at the same time making mages so exciting than another clases whose has more survavility.. just my thought... <3

If you read back through this forum, and others elsewhere you will find the reoccurring theme of "Hadn't played my mage for (months/years/before) since I came back I realized that I'd forgotten how much plain fun the class is". I've played every class but hunters, some extensively, some in passing until I got a feel for the class. I'd rather play a mage than any other class. It suits me, and I find it by far the most fun.
Everyone finds classes or a class that suits them best. I'm not saying that mage are the most fun for everyone. Just that this class is the most fun for me.

I too have tried out all of the classes, and find that maybe its not that mages are so much more fun (although I do think that they are the most fun class to play), but rather doing all the same quests and going through the same zones gets boring. For example, my warrior is level 24 and I was doing the quest to kill the hillsbrad farmers in hillsbrad foothills. You have to kill what seems to be like a kajillion farmers, and as I played on my mage, I did the quest with no complaints, but now with by my warrior I just don't have the same drive to complete the quest. It seems that since I have already done the quest and proven that its possible, I no longer feel like I need to be doing it. In a way almost the entire game feels this way. I sort of have the "Why do this with player y when I have already done it with player x?" mentality it seems like.
To sum it up I think the repetition of things makes other classes boring compared to the mage rather than the mage actually being a more fun class to play.
