Hi there. Mutilate in WotLK seems awesome to me so I am currently making a spec, but i need help choosing between 2 builds
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=f0xfRjgoiroVroz0hZEro0M
and
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=f0xfRerRiroVroz0hZEro0M
see this
blue post
on why i took lightning reflexes
if you would choose another build then feel free to tell me ;)
The main decision is how many points to stick into imp KS, if any, and if so, what to remove to get those 3 points.
Edit:No one? 107 views an NO ONE can think of ANYTHING?

For pvp or pve? I have to say I usually play combat but the new mutilate talants look pretty good also. Just one question for either spec, why 3 in lightning reflexes rather than, for instance, improved gouge?
Dodge is useless in pve and not a whole lot better in pvp.
Also a little curious why you didnt include cut to the chase, seem like a pretty good skill, especially with 5 points in it. you would never have to hit slice and dice again...

I was also looking to synergize Setup with Seal Fate and Mutilate, but in the end I decided not to. Main reason is that is that Ghostly Strike only raises dodge and not spell resist. So against casters I wouldnt be dodging/ resisting that often.
And with the now outlined changes to combat, its just too tempting to raise the white damage as well as dagger crit (and crit synergizes nicely with seal fate too). So Ill get dual wield, precision and dagger spec up to Blade Flurry. At this point I cant tell whether the extra oomph promised to Lightning Reflexes will make me want that or whether Ill sink those point into talents like imp Sprint, Endurance and even Imp SnD.
I dont think Cut to the chase and Hunger looks like theyre worth it. Im after Muti, the obvious damage boosts, combo points and poison buffs. So something like 45 / 21 / 5. To me, this looks like a fun versatile build that could do well both in PvP and PvE. Whether it can match combat swords in raids or heavy subt builds in arenas... Well I dont think Blizzard will allow that in the long run as it gives too little incentive to spec differently. I think Sub will still be king of PvP and Combat PvE with Assassination as a nice hybrid doing reasonably well in both.
But back to topic, if I was speccing Muti Id take another look at the combat tree, even for pvp. If I knew I was fighting mostly melee classes, Id come back and take another look at set up though.
