Hello , me and my wife made the switch to WoW from EQ just after X-Mas in '07 . We are still pretty green to WoW and still finding out how to play our toons effective and efficiantly .
Me and her generally play together 80% of the time due to work schedules or what have you . She is playing a BE Prot Pally while I play an BE Afflic Lock . We have some basic Knowledge of how to kill things , she does alright with the whole AE thing , and i know how to dot , pet , nuke ...
We have ok gear nothing to fancy , at least i dont think we do ,
My questions are these ;
Where can we go to get some decently stat armor ?
What spells should i be using to allow her to tank ? ( i tend to pull off her agro , or she cant get it in the first place )
What Pet should i use with her ? ( i like Voidy , but noticed Felhunter allows her to tank better )
I have overlooked some gear because if it doesnt say + to Sp dmg or something like that i generally wont take it .
We are both 56 , know how to game , and are getting to understand the lil timings and way of toon life within WoW . We are just needing a lil nudge in the right direction .
P.S. : i have seen some armor sets , like the Judement set for pallies , and that Corruptor Raiment set for Locks , Ummm , honestly i dont think we have the friends / nor the skeels < yet > to obtain these items , these are on our wish list. How hard are they to obtain ? Are they worth it ?

Fortunately, these forums have a ton of people with warlock main/paladin alt and vice versa.
Okay - basics:
- Make sure your wife has Righteous Fury up and that you have Blessing of Salvation. This will solve a lot of your threat issues.
- Paladin tanking - she'll be laying down Consecration and judging on the first target. Wait a few seconds, then burn the first one down while Consecration attaches the rest of the mobs to her like leeches, then go to town with Rain of Fire or single-target direct damage spells. Paladins need spell damage to hold aggro, and there isn't any spell damage plate before Outland.
- Alternately, wait a few seconds for her to pick up aggro and then dot EVERYTHING.
- Casters are a problem for paladin tanks. Make sure to kill them quickly.
- As suggested, you'll probably want to be using your imp as a mana battery and stamina buff.
- When you go to Outland in a couple of levels, the quest gear you get will be insane in comparison to what you currently have. Don't worry about upgrades for now.
The armor sets you're referring to are raid drops. With WotLK coming soon, its unlikely you'll need to be concerned with it. The Judgement set in particular is badly outdated (Blackwing Lair, Onyxia, and Molten Core are level 60 40-man raids). Corruptor Rainment is warlock tier 5, and comes from Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep - the Eye in Outland.
There will be similar sets available at level 80 if you choose to give raiding a try. The value of tier sets is variable - often there are non-tier pieces that are superior.
