Two Forum Suggestions

These two ideas are mirror images, so I'm throwing them in together.
The Wowhead forums are fun and contentious, but often annoying. The best and the worst of the forums can often be traced back to particular posters. I think, then, the following two additions would make separating the wheat from the chaff a bit easier:
The ability to subscribe to an user's forum posts in a feed, and
The ability to hide posts from specific users.
Some posters are so consistently informative or entertaining that they deserve a spot in my feed reader, and others are so frustrating that I think they may eventually cause hypertension by constantly raising my blood pressure to unhealthy levels.

Definitely a possibility. I'm a little concerned about setting up "Ignore user" capabilities or post rating, since both of them seem like one step closer to just making the Wowhead forums into Allakhazam.
We DO have an update planned which will allow you to save a lot of user information to your Wowhead user profile. When we get to that point we'll start looking at implementing things like this.

I never understood the point of ignoring a user anyway because everyone else is still going to respond to their stupidity.
Essentially you go from:
talk talk talk talk
SPAM OMG U NOOB
Dude! Shut up!
talk talk talk talk
to
talk talk talk talk
Dude! Shut up!
talk talk talk talk
All it does is cause you to not know what people are talking about, so you have to go and unhide the post to figure it out.

If people follow correct quoting procedures it isn't really a problem. But that's a big
if
.
But... turning off the posts by know trolls or
idiots
people who consistently fail to contribute positively, we may cut down on the number of "Blah blah blah stfu nub blah blah" posts. Which would be a
good
thing.
Also:
I've been thinking that maybe the same general purpose might be met by adding forum-specific feeds. If I could subscribe to just the Warrior, Rogue and WotLK forums, my life would be simpler but I wouldn't miss the fun stuff. The "Latest replies" feed is too clogged up with junk form the randomness forum to be of real use.

If you find a user you think you need to ignore, go ahead and report at least one of their offending posts and I'll see if moderator action needs to be taken.
