Hello my fellow Wowheadians!
Today I completed the series of quests in the Ring of Blood in northwest Nagrand. I came here today because I am having a hard time deciding what rewards I should choose. I have provided some information that should answer any of your quests so you can answer mine. I will be more than happy to provide more information if needed, however I will not be comfortable showing my Armory profile.
Character: Level 66 Human Rogue
Spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboxZMIV0bVzxMGkt
(Combat Swords for those who are too lazy to look it up)
Current Weapons:
Main Hand
+
Off Hand
The 2 rewards I can't decide:
Mag'hari Fury Brand
and
Ceremonial Warmaul Blood-blade
Questions you might have.
1. Do you plan on PvPing at level 70?
Probably.
2. Do you plan on raiding at level 70?
Not currently. I feel no need to since the expansion is right around the corner, however I might do it.
3. What spec do you plan on going at 70?
If I PvP: Sub. PvE: Mutilate, Combat Swords, or Combat Fists
4. Do you plan on respeccing prior to reaching level 70?
If I can get two daggers, I will try out Mutilate.
5. Why do you want the dagger?
I am interested in trying out Mutilate spec. I've read quite a bit about both on the Wowhead Forums and the official forms
6. Why do you want the fist weapon?
If I don't like Mutilate, I'll probably end up going Combat Fists at level 70; whether or not I raid.
7. Why does it matter so much? You're going to end up replacing one of those once you reach 70?
I have level another character to 70 before, so I know that. I just would like to pick a weapon I'm not going to hate or wish I hadn't chosen.
And my questions.
1. Is Mutilate any good while leveling (mainly soloing) and is it good at 70 (raiding, soloing, or doing normal dungeons)
2. Should I stay Combat?
3. Should I get the fist weapon or dagger?
Please let me know what you guys think. I don't expect answers for all of the questions, as anything is better than nothing. Also, I would like to ask you keep the flaming to a minimum. I don't want to be ridiculed. I'm not a noob at this game, but I'm certainly not a pro at this game. I'm more of a casual gamer.

if you want to level the fastest keep with combat but respec for the fist
something like
this
thats your spec but with a few changes that would be better for leveling (like endurance over imp sprint and imp gouge over lightning reflexes)
My only objection is no points in Vitality and 2 less points in Aggression.
use that spec and gear to get to lvl 70, once you hit 70 respec to
shs
(eveloping shadows or MoS > cheat death until you get some resil) then grind them BGs for your s2 gear
profit
As I said in my OP, I don't plan on PvPing.

Had to take a shower.
Probably doesn't mean yes. To be honest, I really have no plans of doing it. That doesn't mean I might not. What I am focusing on is leveling right now. I will worry about whether or not I will PvP at 70.

then ignore the second bit of information if you dont care about 70 what you did say is that you would probably PvP at 70 (which is as good as yes) and that you werent planing on raiding, since you will imo be doing one or the other my tip was based on the one you were most likely going to be doing
Okay.
I still would like to know a few more things:
1. Should I go for the fist weapon? The only reason I am debating over my decision is based off the fact that Mutilate has became an alternative build to Combat. I honestly want to try out Assassination, but I wanted a little more input.

can you buy another decent dagger on the AH? then sure go for mutilate, but youre MH needs an upgrade and the fury brand is a great MH (fist/sword is also the highest dps build possible if you are doing heroics when you hit 70)
I checked today. There are no daggers up for grabs on the Auction House today. Well -- ones that DON'T suck.

forget it then mutilate is only nice with two good 1.6-1.8 daggers
go fist/sword combat
I know Mutilate is nice with daggers. I want the opportunity to try it, but I would need another dagger.

then take my earlier advice
take the fist, lvl to 70, respec shs, then BG for a few days for 2 s2 daggers
profit
I think I'll go for the fist weapon, then.
Thank you for your help.
I might just try Mutilate at 70. For now, I'll focus on leveling as Combat.

It's to bad you didn't post this before completing the quest, as waiting to long will nullify this quest and so will you dying before hand in.
I say redo the quest and grab the dagger. I took the fist and used it for a long time, even for shadowstep 69-70 while grinding honor. But if you want to try mutilate there are a ton of great daggers as quest rewards in the outlands, just use the filter and see what quest reward daggers you haven't passed up are left. (shani's crysknife in bonewastes?)
Can't really go wrong as they are both great
