Good morning and good day to all my fellow Warcraft players! This is my first time postin here, so wanted to say hello. :)
Foki, I've been having the same problems with my accoutn as well lately. I mean, alot. Seems like every couple days I get hacked. Already been bannded from the game about 5 times, and I don't know what to do. Somebody has really gotten into my account and seems to really love it.
I've tried e-mailing blizzard for help and whatnot, but I don'tr get any anwears back. I would call them, but seeing as I'm deaf.. may be alittle tough.. haha.
I change my password and scan my computer almost daily, if not twice a day, but I still have major problems. So I feel your pain, Foki =/ Considering I just renewed my account with another game card, so I got another month or so to go on it. Fun, fun!
I'll stop rammbling on now.. haha.
What anti-virus do you have? And have you tried changing your email address and secret question/answer too? If you're really getting hacked so often, something is very wrong.

ok ive got avg free edition as well and it doesnt handle spyware, which could easily be whats tripping you up and recording ur pass. get ad-aware from lavasoft, also free, and itll take all of the ad-aware off of ur comp and take whatever precautions you need to feel safe.

I have some threads you should review. Hope it helps. Email me if you have any more questions.
First of all, it is very important that you secure your computer before doing any of the following. Securing your computer can help prevent future compromises. This may also help prevent any further damage. I recommend you review the following threads to not only help secure your computer, but to also help recover any losses.
*Important* Key-loggers and Computer Security
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=1778038509&sid=1
After you have secured your computer, the next thing to do is retrieve access to your account. If for some reason you no longer have access to the registered email address or if it was changed by a malicious third-party software, you will need to contact Billing and Account Services to update the registered email address. You will need to answer a couple questions about your account details for security reasons. One of those is the answer to your Secret Question. If for some reason you forgot it, you will need to fill out the Terms of Use form (
http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21469
) and fax it to the Billing Department.
You can also verify if the registered email address is correct and valid by using the "Account Name Retrieval" feature. If the email is correct and registered to your account, you should receive an email listing all accounts associated to it.
Billing & Account Services
:
-Phone Support - 1 (800) 592-5499
Live Representatives Available Mon - Fri, 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific Time. (Tues-Sat, 1 AM - 1 PM AEST)
-Users in Australia should call 1-800-041-378 if the above number doesn't work.
-Users in Singapore should call 800-2549-9273 if the above number doesn't work
-Other International users should call (949) 955-0283 if the above number doesn't work.
For some Non-US countries you may need to dial 00 for international access followed by the number.
Please note - This does not apply to players from Australia/NZ.
To retrieve your account name, please use the following:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport/account-name.html
After you have updated the registered email address, you can now retrieve your password using one of the follow methods:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport/password.html
http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21469
After you have regained access to your account, you may find your account has been suspended, banned, or otherwise actioned while your account has been compromised. If your account has been suspended, banned or actioned, you will need to contact Account Administration to dispute it. If they are able to verify the account was compromised, then they will likely remove the account penalties.
Once you have regained access to the account, you will want to report any missing items or characters by opening an ingame petition. Your ticket will likely be escalated to a Character Specialist for a detailed review. It should take around a week for the specialist to respond back to you. It's important to remain patient while your ticket is escalated, and that you don't close or edit your ticket.
While you are waiting, you may want to review these links:
Restoration Policy:

Account Compromise Info Center:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=3773308319&sid=1
If any of your characters were tranferred without your authorization, you will need to fill out the Unauthorized Character Transfer form:

... From what i've been hearing this is a well known trokan i think blizz hasn't taken any measures yet.
Blizzard has addressed the keylogger issue with this
Blizzard Authenticator
. It is used as a device the account holder has in their hot little hands. In addition to your userid and password, you are asked to key in the 6-digit onetime code to continue into your wow account. Even if key loggers get the code, it is only used once so will not work again if they try it. It is certainly worth the $6.50.
