So, I'm likely to hit 70 not too long before WotLK's release, and I'm wondering what I should do. Mainly, I wonder if I can PvP resto to gather s2 feral gear, and when I got enough go raiding as resto until WotLK. I want the feral gear to level to 80, and I probably can't roll on feral gear as resto. I just don't like tanking, but if it's the only way to go, I guess it's just the way it is.

So you're planning on
PvPing resto
to get the
Feral PvP gear
until you have enough of the
Feral PvP gear
to
raid as resto
.
You do realize that there seems to be something...missing...
I realise my wording kind of failed :P but I just couldn't write it in any other way..
What I meant was getting s2 Feral PvP gear by PvPing (as resto, don't know how to play moonkin/feral isn't great for PvP) which I will use when I level to 80 in Northrend. While I wait for WotLK to hit the stores, I go raiding as resto.

Regarding gear for levelling, it might be easier to use your resto gear and go balance than to try to get new feral gear as offspec drops. The spellpower change is going to make many resto pieces quite good for balance levelling (you won't have any crit, but you'll have more than decent spellpower.
Currently in the wotlk beta, i'm using the Gavel of Naru Blessing as my dps weapon. It magically transformed in the Scryer's Blade of Focus thanks to the spellpower change (plus the healing enchantment gives more spellpower than the damage one). My current weapon is the Hammer of Judgement from Hyjal, and it doesn't compare at all for levelling purposes (10 less spell damage, and additionnal hit that is of no use).
