well, keep in mind that we havent seen how well savage roar will scale vs rip. ideally, we would use savage roar to buff our rips (which i think now scales even better with AP). this could be a massive pve buff if used with smart trinket use could lead to obscene rip damage.
Yeah, a +35% to AP scales HORRIBLY.
Oh, and it shouldn't "...scale vs rip" it should be used along side, pretty much like a rogue SnD.
The SoTF buff is amazing in principle but could also have been solved by including more +def leather in the game. By "more +def leather" what I really mean is that "+def, the defining stat for the BoE feral starter gear, could also have been put on the direct upgrades to that gear."
However I'm aware that this would've gimped the DPS viability of our tier gear so fair's fair.
The gear solution would've been idiotic. Don't even think about it.

We don't now because most (nearly all) of the gear we pick has a lot of additional armor on it. That's apparently not the case with the new itemization.

otherwise one of the things i am so excited about is Tiger's fury talented to give energy...

Pounce > shred x2 > maim > tigers fury for energy > then back into them... no more waiting for energy regen or praying for a good omen proc.
Or activate Berserk, then Fury for double the energy effect. :)
Comboing the two will be insane damage. In raid DPS, I can see it in my mind as a sick damage burst. Need something down asap? "Sure, coming up". The Fury is worth 3 Shreds, and while doing them, you regenerate enough energy to do two more. That's like 6-7 of continuous Shreds. SR when first time at 5 CP, Rip at the second. Bite on third after climbing back up again to 5 CP. That will be a lot of damage, especially when much of that is further boosted by the Tiger's Fury's damage buff.
Ofc, we won't be doing another burst for the next five minutes... :)

Blizz has stated that they like the big Armor numbers on Druids and they would like to see that continue in WotLK. How they do that, we'll see.

SF- good for bosses, don't see it used much on regular mobs,
Explanation for this: this ability effectively lasts 21 seconds with 5 combo points, so that means on a boss do Mangle>shred>shred> if u have 5 use SR now,then do mangle(if u have to)>shred>shred>rip until ur SR is wearing off then do it again, at least thats how i see this working and especially when we hit that sexy 10k AP, im already at 4k :D, aslo it scales with rip making rip even better
to all the ppl that say this will nerf our dps by calculations made now, did u bother to calculate it with the possible 10k AP we may have in wotlk? and then how much it will buff our further rips? this is why its used for boss encounters regular mobs die too fast for this too work, and therefore would nerf our dps, but then again u must know how to play your class to excel, a.k.a knowing when to use what to maximaze your usefulness

With 10K AP and 40% Crit it was increasing DPS slighly (maybe 5%). The effect on Rip was included in it, as far as I know. The DPS models only evaluate situations where there is sufficient time to run full cycles and the DPS analysis has practical value (i.e. raiding and against bosses). However, the models are still evolving, so any findings at this stage need to be considered preliminary. Also, feel free to check the model and try it out yourself. It's much better that way than trusting my word.

I believe Blizzard will still review Ferals before the expansion ships, so I'm sure they will evaluate the value of SR, too. I doubt they will add a useless new skill. :)

There must be a reason for the insane SR buff we get lately. Maybe ppl are right? Maybe it's not that big of a dps increase? Maybe it just plain sux?

How about Tiger's fury lol? It went from worst to pretty much all-time used
I assume they are either changing the cool down to 1 minute or the last rank of tiger's fury cast 50-60 energy. I can't imagine them putting it on a 1 second timer for 30 energy cost when it restores 60 energy because everyone would spam it with every attack they made and never run out of energy.

All they actually have to is change dire bear form to a higher % for armor. They never needed to add +armor items in the first place. All they needed to do was change dire bear to a higher % for armor and you would still see the same armor effect from gear with out extra armor on it. Hopefully, that is what they are planning on doing.

It's anyone's guess at this point, really. Before BC was released, at first everyone was all "ZOMG THERES NOT ENOUGH BEAR GEAR MOAR PLOX!" and /skyisfalling. Then as the BC beta people leveled up we found out about the Heavy Clefthoof set, and there was much rejoicing. *yay!*
The truth is that all of those complaints were dead on. Heavy clefthoof is JUNK and was thrown in to help silence those complaints. Think of it this way, if there was enough feral gear in game would the majority of high end feral tanks be using arena gear in PvE? They added feral tank gear as a side thought in TBC.

If you aren't dpsing heroics now then you need to make a paladin tank friend because elemental shaman + boomkin + protection paladin + mage + restor shaman in a heroic group is the ideal badge farming group.

TF costs no energy, has a 30 sec cooldown and increases damage on use. If you talented 3/3 King of the jungle then you get 60 energy upon use. 60 energy instantly every 30 sec ins't that OP.
