A lot of the GMs really couldn't give two craps about your problem. They are there making minimum wage to deal with people's problems (but hey, if they don't like it, they should quit, right?).
Anyways, I had a problem similar to yours and got several horrible GMs that really didn't care, and told me they couldn't do anything to help me. Well, I kept trying and opening tickets until I did finally get a GM that cared. He/she took care of my problem and I got my character! That's just the way you have to do things with Blizzard.
EDIT - Now that I think of it, they may not be able to do anything for you in this case. Do you have proof that this chest dropped for you? Unless you have the raid ID they may not be able to help you.

I think blizzard staff is more focused on progress with Diablo 3, Wrath of the Lich King, Starcraft 2 and the new MMO they won't tell us ^&*! about. They just work more instead of doing tickets all the time.

Also look at it from a GMs point of view. Your case is genuine (i hope and believe) but how many false calls like this have they had to deal with? People running to them with this and similar others to it. It may not be that they're uncaring towards you, they may have just got fed up with dealing with the thousands of false claims. If you are genuine with your claim and determined to get the item/s you deserve then keep badgering them with new tickets. This shows more commitment and willingness to deal with the situation. Most bogus claims won't get past the first couple of tickets due to boredom.
