This is a little guide a made a time ago for Blogger. It's in Spanish.
Source:
<script src="
http://static.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script>
Yo elegi mi amada Reins of the Twiligth Drake.
El link es
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43954
<a class="q4" href="
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43954">
</a>
q0=Grises
q1=Blancos
q2=Verdes
q3=Azules
q4=Violetas
q5=Naranjas
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=43954
http://static.wowhead.com/images/icons/large/spell_shadow_shadowwordpain.jpg

Is there an easy way to display the tooltip ICONS in front of the tooltips? I've had the tooltips working for years, but would like to add the spell icon next to it.
edit: using phpbb 3.0

I have created a website for my guild on gamerdna.com. I don't know anything about scripting or editing html, but here even i can handle things.
The only problem i have is with this tooltip.. i can't make it work, but i saw another guild website on gamerdna that uses this correctly! Of course i can't contact with the owner of that site.. -.-"
Is anyone here familiar with gamerdna.com or has any suggestions?

was old post already and it's not the download link but I found a working plugin but it's out of date (2008-06-12) and can just change a bit there, then upload to your FTP server. Here you can download
http://www.papersealfury.com/downloads/wp-plugins/witt_v0.5.zip
Install Guide:
1. Decompress the plug-in, and change a bit of the file (
See below
) then upload to your ftp into the directory: wordpress_installed_directory/wp-content/plugins/ (Make sure that’s the directory where you installed YOUR WordPress blog. I’ve messed up many a hosted blog before. >.>)
2. Log into your WordPress Administration section, and head to the “Plugins” section, click on the “Activate” link for the plugin. (If you forgot, it’s “Wowhead Item Tooltips” !)
3. That should be all, just start posting away with all them juicy or tags!
Current Issues:
Item tags may not get parsed, as if the plugin isn’t running. This may be caused by plugin load order. If it does happen, perform the following:
1. Open “wowhead-item-tooltips.php”
2. Find the following text:
add_filter(‘the_content’,'witt_call’, 35);
add_filter(‘comment_text’,'witt_call’, 35);
3. Change the “35″ to a lower number, such as “5″:
add_filter(‘the_content’,'witt_call’, 5);
add_filter(‘comment_text’,'witt_call’, 5);
4. Save and upload to plugins directory.
The fix before you upload the file to ftp:
Find:
$url = ‘http://’.$lang.’.wowhead.com/?item=’.$item_name_url.’&xml’;
Replace:
$url = ‘http://’.$lang.’.wowhead.com/item=’.$item_name_url.’&xml’;
Now you can go to admin panel > Plugins and activate the plugin. That's all done!
Tested on my latest Wordpress 3.0.3 and works perfectly.

I thought I'd experiment with adding Wowhead tooltips to SimulationCraft output. The problem: power.js builds a URL to include another file, basic.js. I believe that since SimulationCraft files are almost always read locally using the file:// protocol, the resulting URL isn't functional. Any way to detect the file:// protocol and build a working URL to basic.js?

Hello,
I run a WoW fansite in Hebrew, which is right-to-left language. We use phpbb 3.0.7, and I've added wowhead tooltip line to overall_header.html, according to the instructions here.
The problem is that wowhead tooltips are shown in a strange right-to-left manner, which breaks the text, numbers and so on. I would like to keep my website and forum right-to-left, but show wowhead tooltip as left-to-right.
Is there a way to do so?
I've tried too add dir="ltr" to this line:
<script src="
http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js"
type="text/javascript"></script>
but it didn't work.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry, it may have been covered before, but if someone could send me a private message to answer this question, I would highly appreciate it.
How can I stop embedded video from hiding tooltips? What I mean it, when there is embedded video in a blog entry, any links below it that pop up tooltips have their tooltip blocked by the video - the tooltip sits behind the embedded video. Is there a way to change the "level" of the tooltips (bring them to the front), or perhaps to change the level of embedded objects (send them to the back) to sit behind the tooltips?
Thanks. :)

A Simple Tutorial
Open the HTML Editor on the forum or whatever you are planning to post
<a href="Put Here Item URL" class="Put Here Item Class"></a>
Item Classes:
q0(junk)
A Gold Tooth
q1(useful)
A Bulging Coin Purse
q2(uncommon)
Zorbin's Mega-Slicer
q3(rare)
Spellfire Longsword
q4(epic)
Vicious Gladiator's Slicer
q5(legendary)
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
q6(heirloom)
Bloodsoaked Skullforge Reaver
Unfortunately, its not working on this page (or I don't know how to make it work here) but in other forums or blogs, it works if the code is activated.
This code I mean: <script type="text/javascript" src="
http://static.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script>

I never received an answer to my question a couple of months ago, which indicates to me that possibly the developers don't read this thread.
But either way, I have another question regarding the tooltip system.
Aside from wanting to display icons next to my links (something I think a lot of people would like), there is something that "rel" doesn't seem to cover - and should. For linking meta achievements, we should be able to select which parts have been completed, so that the tooltip is clear about what has and hasn't been done for that meta, rather than everything being grey. Would be a very nice implementation to the system!
Thanks.
Edit: As an aside, I just noticed that the socket bonus isn't showing up for gemmed items. On my blog, I put in <a class="q4" rel="ench=4063&gems=52207:52217&pcs=60244" href="
Firelord's Robes
">Firelord's Robes</a> but the socket bonus stays grey, even though those two gems are red and purple, respectively. Is the code not reading gems properly?

Here is the code I'm trying to use on my page. I'm trying to associate the WoWHead link with an image on my sight.
<a href="
http://www.wowhead.com/item=44094"
rel="ench=803&lvl=1"><img src="images/mainhand.gif" alt="" border="0" height="49" width="43"></a>
It should be showing BHoG as level 1 with Fiery enchant, but it only shows up as level 1 with no enchant.
Any thoughts?
edit: this way doesn't work either
<a href="
http://www.wowhead.com/item=44094&lvl=1"
rel="ench=803"><img src="images/mainhand.gif" alt="" border="0" height="49" width="43"></a>
